They look like 13x8’s with 205’s. It looks retarded. Any “upgrade” you do to a car that makes it worse then when you started is retarded. I run 235’s on my 13x8’s.

The problem is this: Try to find a GOOD street tire wider than 205 to fit a 13" wheel. There are lots of choices if you want DOT-Rs, but not in street tires, which is unfortunate, because many cars would do better with a wide 13" or 14" wheel than a 17".

the 13’s look good, the stretch dosen’t, it depends on the car for the size of the wheel but stretched tires dont look good on anything.

thanks for the love and the hate. either way i didnt build MY car for anyone but me. i like what i have done to my car and thats that. so far it has made the vwvortex cover page for waterfest coverage as seen here… [http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/article_1786.shtml ] and also it will be in the vwvortex mk1 2007 calendar coming out in a few months. as per the handling… i dont autocross, and from the driving ive done with it so far the handling seems right on par although i do have to replace the tie rods & ends before anything.

btw - walker, if it’s your thing, don’t let anyone tell you differently. the tires are about the only thing I don’t like on that car.
