Wheel Color Changing

Well I think this might be the right place to post this. But anyways after 8 months I finally gave up on a set of wheels I want in a specific color. So I have finally thought about buying the wheels in one color and getting them changed(powder coating maybe?). The wheels are a one piece, nothing fancy Just want the spokes and center to be silver not black. Is there anyone local who can do this? Whats the price range I should look into?

These are the wheels:http://www.jsicustomwheels.com/images/akuzafwdnew/AKA429.jpg

This is the color I want them (silver) :

Any help on this one guys? And if anyone can find these wheels in silver and no damage ull get 75 bucks from me

name of wheels? bolt pattern? offset? I’ll find them

name of the wheels can be 3 so far that I know of :stuck_out_tongue:

Akuza, PCW, Panther (Brands) type Intimidator number 429 (Number isnt as important) 5x114.3mm bolt pattern and offset I think should be like 42 or 48 around that area.It just needs to be on a fwd car :stuck_out_tongue: And MUST be in 18 inch size :stuck_out_tongue: if you find them you get the cash, cause im tired of hitting up ebay, craigstlist, yahoo, ect to find them.

Check out the link in my signature to AMF…if you call them, ask for Jason. He powder coated the wheels for my car and they turned out great. Price was $160 cash for all four wheels.

I’m guessing he would bead blast the wheels, then paint them silver (or what ever color you choose).

how does it hold up tho? i dont want them to be coated and they peel ect.

powdercoating doesn’t peel, thats why you go with powdercoating and not paint…

what he said…so far they are holding up perfectly. i had asked jason about this because i was curious myself…he stated that if anything ever went wrong (peeling/cracking/etc), just bring them back and he’d fix them.

:bigthumb: for jason and amf

you guys that did the powder coating. did they just cover the whole rim in the color? or was it like certain spots? reason i ask is because the “fake bolts” that are in that rim i dont want powder coated I want those and the lip left polished.

hmm that makes me wonder maybe I should get the whole thing polished chrome, anyone wanna photoshop that? lol

They powder coated the entire wheel, but that is what I wanted them to do. I have no idea if they can just do certain parts of the wheel. I wouldn’t see why Jason wouldn’t be able to mask off what parts you need coated and go from there. It will probably be more expensive just because of the extra time needed to do so.
