There is a set I am considering but I think the tire size is to big.
-5x114.3 bolt pattern
-19x10.5" rear wheels mounted with 295/30/19 tires
-19x9 " front wheels mounted with 265/30/19 tires
offset +45 mm in the front, +10 mm in the back
My question is if I can go with 19" wheels what tire size do I use and should the offset be around +25-40 front & rear or should the rear have a lower offset?
Or, should I just keep it at 18" rims with around +30-35 offset?
I know 285/30/18 18x10+20 should fit on the front… i forget for the rear. 19s have been fitted including with wide tires on an s14… looks pretty menacing if done right… there is some pix in my thread on zilvia maximum thread fitment or whatever i called it where gsracer test fits some bad ass wide 19s on the front and back.
Basically three factors to always consider, tire height vs ride height, inner (shock/spring) and outer (fender) clearance.
my guess is both wont fit. front or back. the rears unless u got mad camber a x10.5 +10 with a 295 shuld rub or poke out . for fronts x9 +45 is such weak offset it prob hit ur coilovers or shocks and look sunken battleship.
also search and ul see lots of offset / width threads made in past. if u want better responses. state ur camber front and back and suspension setup .
The rears you will need overfenders/fares/alot of body work to fit with that size tire.
The fronts, like lucid said have way to high of an offset, they will hit the coilovers, youd need probably a 10-15mm spacer for the front. Then you shouldd be able to fit the 265’s on with a pull/roll. Fitment depends alot on your ride height as well.
Out of curiosity, why 19’s? and do you really need that much tire? I would stick with 18’s, but either way be ready for quite abit of work to get that much tire to fit properly no matter what the wheel size.
Too big.i have a set off 18x9.5 +20 and they fit flush. I also have sets of 18x10.5 and 11 +5 and i need overfenders on a 98. Those +45 offset rims will fit so shitty. Why not wait for some good sized rims to come around?
265 on a 9 inch rims is not “FAT” at all, I ran 265’s on my 8.5 inch rim no problems, and the sidewall sat flush with the rim seat. And they will even fit 8 inch rims, but then you get into stretching the sidewalls. 265 is a great size for a 9 inch rim
Thanks for all the advice, I dont really want to roll my fenders or do any body work for new wheels.
So right now I am running 18" x 8" +24 with 225/45zr18 fronts & 18" x 9" +30 245/45r18 rears.
They fit nicely but I want a change in style and was wondering if that is the best tire size and offset for the front & rears.
19’s are to big for a s14 and dont look right imo, i have 17x9.5 +30 all round and they fit perfect. if mine wasnt a daily driver in the summer i would of probally rocked 18’s,
Should be in my thread otherwise definitely in his VH swap thread where he was test fitting all the crap that went through his hands. However as you can see they are lightly pulled. Lucky s14 bastards… I wish I had that kind of clearance luxury on an s13 (not for 19s but just in general fitment)
And they aren’t ‘too big’. Certainly too big for skinny bony 215/30/19 tires… or something ridiculously tiny like that. Learn to fit tires people. 9" wheels are meant for 255s not 205s. Of course it’s not going to look right with a tire that barely has any sidewall and is stretched from lip to lip retardedly (word?).
However that being said there is a point of diminishing returns, how tall you wana go with what we have to work with just to get more contact patch or based on gearing that we have to deal with… fitment issues, unsprung weight, etc… 17s and 18s are just right… with plenty tire choices.
Those wheels (OP) are horrendous. and 9 + 45 up front is mega gay.
i fit 17 x 10.5 +30 with a 10mm spacer and 275/40/17’s on the rear of my S13 with a pretty serious roll on stock fenders… runs a fair bit of camber but i dont know the spec… whatever Scott set for me. No need for more than a 275 really… instead of going wider, just get a better tire.
