It seems people just don’t listen anymore. Has everyone become so think headed they don’t understand someone might actually have a logical fucking clue of things going on?
EX) me - if you keep getting in your truck and flooring it when its cold like that your going to eject a plug, and when your CEL is flashing that means something is seriously wrong, it don’t mean keep driving.
Him - no its fine, napa make a fix - it kit for the plug and the check engine light flashes because its cold.

I’m not saying I know everything because I don’t. I don’t open my mouth to give advice unless I can personally relate or have knowledge of the situation.
If there is one thing I have learned over the years (and I know it’s a corny term), it’s that you cannot save people from themselves. You tried helping them understand once, walk away knowing that you did the right thing, and don’t get worked up about it if they don’t want to listen.
This is a very good point. It just 5 people don’t even consider the advice I give them. Last time someone asked me something I pointed to my dog. They gave me a puzzled look. I said " you might as well ask him, if he tell you to bark you will meow" Then I walked away
At this point I could care less. Someone is going to have to learn the hard way.
When its relationship advice or life advice I can understand to a point shutting down, But when it comes to " you blew a cyl. because you beat the shit out of your truck and the spark plug off in the chamber and let it bounce around in there for a while " and I get “no, its a common ford problem” back its time to hang around new people
It’s rare for a person to want to be told what to do. Besides, in my experience most people who make a habit of volunteering advice are just loudmouths who are wrong at least as often they are right, but are quick to say I told you so when they are right, which is why most people don’t want to be given advice in the first place. I guess I usually don’t give advice unless asked.
Two things:
One, people usually ask and listen to advice of people they respect and trust.
Two, if you offer good advice and they don’t heed it, as Paulo said, does it really affect you?
Mostly, 3 people ask me for advise all the time, but never listen.
The guy that blew his cyl. out has stuff in my shop all the time and asked if I would help him fix it. I just said no.
Then trades his wheeler ( 03 predator ) I have personally torn apart rebuilt and had a few things done for him for this beat 01 zr440 sno pro that hasn’t moved from my back yard sense fall.
No he wants me to fix it up so he can try and sell it for a grand. I know whats wrong with it, and I know how to fix it, but i’m not going to.
