skip shift eliminator would probably be towards the top of the list if it was mine.
Im pretty sure its got that stupid function that makes you shift from 1st to 4th at certain speeds.
yah my SS had that…it was fucking ANNOYING. It was when I was learning how to drive standard on it too and this skip shift light would always come on and it would lock out all the gears besides 1st and 4th…I fuckin hated it so I tunned it out.

what it is is this…
when your in first and you get between 2000-3000 rpms, The SKIP SHIFT comes into function. The light lights up on the dash and it only allows you to shift from 1st to 4th. It locks out all the other gears.
it feels just like you would be shifting into 2nd, but your shifting into 4th
basically, it eliminates all the other shifting you hafto do…but its annoying as shit.

Yeah but instinct makes you select 2nd and 3rd in between. This locks you out of 2 and 3.

yes, but with the Skip shift you dont hafto “find 4th”…it just slides in like your shifting to 2nd because it locks out all the other gears until the skip shift is off.
most people turn them off because their nothing but a pain in the ass.
when the skip shift comes on in 1st at 2500rpms, and you dont have a choice but to go to 4th…it boggs down to around 1k in 4th.
oh skip shift is going away, and a GMM Ripshift is gonna find its way in as well.

does the GTO come with the hurst like my camaro? I like my hurst but my buddys stock shifter in his trans am is a pain in the ass.
nah its just the normal shifter that gm uses. throw is a bit long, even my father was like, the shifter is like an old truck.
im just you could pick up a used hurst shifter for it for cheap.
ill just go with what GTO guys are seeing good results with.
Took my car out yesterday, had some fun.
I broke down and pulled the STi out today, had a freaken blast. Man a well setup car is a joy to drive.
