When will your car be back on the road?

Farmer

Possibly March but early april for sure, depending on the weather. I want a paintjob, but I have no money. Theres a bit of rust in the wheelwell, where the STUPID STUPID mud guards are. Seriously that was the dumbest engineering move ever, I hope the lead man got fired. It basically CATCHES the salt and holds it inside the wheel well, its got a gap in the mudguard where there is no protection for the body.

 Gonna have to cross my fingers and hope that everything is clear behind those mudflaps on my car, the thought never occured to me.

Dude, trust me, take them off. The car looks much better with them off anyways.

i cant wait till spring i want to drive my 240 so bad i got the motor back together and its runs good just want to drive it.i will proble put the insurance back on in mid april
cant wait

prolly some time in April

Ya I was planning to take the mudflaps off once the car comes out of storage, Im just hoping all is clear behind them. When I bought the car I was told it was never winter driven, but there are signs that it was, though that doesnt worry me, just the possibility of unseen rust/corrosion.

Where in Florida? and what week?

I’m cruising down as well .

And to answer the question… the cars never go away, therefore, they never “come back”

Last week of April, or 1st of May

I plan to bring my car back out Mid September…

NiteRider- My family has a place in Tampa east so il be there for a bit, but i am also going to see a bunch of friends in Jacksonville, and Orlando. And i would like to go to Daytona as well. I am going March 8- 21.

i always go to movies 10-15 min late

Ahhh! You’re like my bud!

“Don’t worry dude, it’s not gonna be packed”. What do we find when we get there? Packed! I go to the movie 10-30 minutes before the movie (I have food for 5 people, so I have a full tummy when the movie begins. Plus, you never know when you find an interesting trivia question  )

I got my '97 240SX insured in December 20ish (Some of you might remember me) and I started dricing from there. I’ve driven in most of the snowfalls (the pretty good one from a month or so ago, I managed to drive home before it got worse. I’m still practising RWD & Standard for the first time afterall).

I was scared at first when people said the 240s are deathtraps in winter, but it wasn’t that bad (Must be my Michelins 8) ). The only scary part was when I was turning into a major road and the back end swung a bit causing me to change lanes (which was ironic, cause I planned to change lanes anyway. Luckily no one was there), but this was caused during that one big snowfall and my first day dealing with a “serious” snowfall. I got home safe, but I was happy since it was a good learning opportunity.

I’ll still continue driving it 'till the end of winter and I’ll drive it on the winter next. My only fears are really steep hills with tailgators behind me (I’m still learning!!) and other drivers themselves (no matter how good you are, somebody else can ruin your car) so it is absolutely necessary to keep distance from others. Hell, if the guy behind you is scaring you, change lanes.

One side note. I still see people driving like idiots on the roads. I still see people ripping it down roads, passing stops signs cause they think it’s clear and turning too hard when the weather conditions aren’t good. Please drive safe. I’m sure nobody wants to ruin their rides or have other ruins their rides for them. Just because you have the right of way, it doesn’t hurt to still make sure it’s safe to proceed.

Everyone have a safe winter. Let’s hope all the 240s arrive ok for the summer  . Rides, Drifting (legit preferably) & ball-busting cops, yippee! (I still worry about how my first pull-over will be  )
