so i am rebuilding a 14b turbo… its got some shaft play…
it deff needs new bearing or whatever…
what is the cheapest thing you know of to rebuild a turbo… keep in mind i do it all myself so dont mention places i can take it…
whats the best u know of?
thanks
you realize you have to balance the shaft at like 100k rpm right?
edit: and a rebuild kit will cost 100-150. you may as well find another used one. it will probably last longer than one that was rebuilt and not balanced.
call hybrid or innovative for rebuild kits though.

Best place to send that would be Forced Performance…however, yo ucan pick up a used 14b for less than a rebuild would cost you.

the best way to rebuild it is to throw it away and buy a new one
Oh no…are you going to blow up your car again?
Hi Andy. Listen to these guys. They know a lot.
dont turbos spin at like 60k rpm? abnd considering that weight quadruples when speed doubles, a very slight imbalance at idle is HUGE at 60k
yea…
when u call and ask for a rebuild kit they will just laugh at you when u say 14b…
cuz everybody is right, you just throw it out and buy a new one

More like 100,000 rpm or damn close to it
