MSSC.
we do that too.
oh really… I wasnt aware you’s had a balancing machine and were able to re-balance the shafts properly
www.cherryturbos.com call and talk to Herman if you want it done right… cost wise its around $450-$500 which includes the rebuild kit (for a T25) for the cost to rebuild a T28 “since their ball bearing” would be so high you’d be better off just buying a brand new unit probably.
acutally the s14/s15 ball bearing t28 is non rebuildable.
there was a rebuild kit avliable however the failure rate of the kit was so high they stoped making it.

It’s called outsourcing … and, since you obviously have experience with multi-shafted turbos, and the fancy balancertron 5000 “Balancing Machine” … I guess I don’t need to explain to you, the mere mortal turbos we use, with only one shaft, don’t usually need to be rebalanced if all you’re doing is changing oil seals, which as I’m sure in your infinite wisdom you know is responsible for 70% of dead JDM turbos that have been sitting behind the shed for 3 years. As well, if you know what you’re doing, unless you’re installing new or different impellers … why am I wasting my time?
But hey, if you’ll feel better paying $500 for two new 5¢ seals, by all means, we’ll do that too.
We do spelling and grammar too … don’t think you can afford it.
albert.
you forgetting that i can do it.
pm me.

hmmm
My comment was directed towards (WE DO THAT TOO) not we can get it done, or we have a shop who does it for us. But giving the impression that MSSC rebuilds turbo’ in house perhaps ? hence my comment…
Now if all a turbo needs is a 5cent seal then technically it does not need to be rebuilt does it ? and the word rebuild “restore” generally will mean “new impellers and such” because if it only needs a new seal, then it only needs a seal replaced, not a rebuild ?
And as you see I can use proper grammar if I choose too, but nice effort… I can see MSSC takes offense easily to comments which may be directed towards them in anyway.
Nahh
Ty’s just too soft and cuddly - I take comments directed at Spilly personally. And I am overly sensitive in general. Heh.
I believe the word we’re sparring over is refurbish.
We “refurbish” turbos. We just send the center assemblies to Cherry to be balanced. It’s way cheaper for the customer that way. Just like engine rebuilds. If the machine shop has to disassemble your motor, they’re going to charge ya for it.
