Shit, that’s a lot. I think where my parents are it’s around $20-$40/cord. We cut our own and split it ourselves so free is nice.
Oops. Thanks for the correction and updates. I haven’t checked what they were up too in a while.
I’ve NEVER seen it for $20-$40 for a face chord unless it’s soft wood; cheapest I’ve ever seen is $60 for hardwoods… and that’s not delivered.
Have you had your chimney inspected and cleaned? Just a general FYI them chimney cleaning logs that you burn and they are “supposed” to clean the shit out do not work. Better safe then sorry.
I just bought a cord from this guy off craigslist, mixed hardwoods $80 delivered. it is getting dropped off tonight at 6 so i’ll let you know if it is legit or shitty.
80 sounds legit… my father use to deliver for 70 a cord
Keep us posted, $80 sounds good.
What about http://www.gardusinc.com/chimney/
I have tons of firewood (literally) that I cut myself.
I gave away probably 10 face cord when I started just because i had no room/use.
After experiencing the amount of time/work/fuel that goes into it, I wouldn’t take less than $200 per face cord.:biglaugh:
$100 per face cord is cheap, I don’t care how you slice it.(pun intended)
Ok just got done stacking… dude was legit and very friendly, he came delivered it to the back of my driveway for $80/face cord to kenmore. He says it is a flat rate though so shouldn’t matter where you are provided it is in buffalo area. No crap wood, split nicely and in even lengths, seasoned about a year and a half, dry as a bone.
His name was Roger, phone number is 990-5348, he runs his own landscaping biz Poplar Tree and Landscape.
Does roger do odd jobs too?
My parents live nowhere near Buffalo is why…
lol no idea… i think his brother BJ does tho
I love bj’s odd jobs
Nice. I’m going to let some of my customers know. Thanks.
Roger’s delivering 2 tomorrow, thanks for the # chino.
This is better then the place on Forest Products Firewood on Roll Rd, I paid $70 to pick up and they want $130+4.25% to deliver!
looks good!
How much wood should i get? I was hoping to use it as my primary source of heat… so i was thinking about 1 full chord should do it right (3 face cords)
