I just jizzed in my pants
It was very good indeed, I will go back there for sure.
I had one of the best burgers of my life last week at The Lodge on Chippewa for lunch. It was $12, but WHOA… it was amazing! It had to be almost a pound, was full of flavor, was cooked perfectly and I am going back very soon to get it again. It came with fries, too, which were also delicious. I rarely skip on ketchup with my fries, but they didn’t need anything…
Just wanted to say, Essex st ribs are the best ribs I’ve had in recent memory. The sides were also awesome (Mac and cheese and cole slaw)
Big e took me on a date there
It was delicious  we are going back my next visit.
Looks awesome, I’ll have to check out their menu.
Look out for boardjunky though, he may tell you how much of a loser you are for taking a picture of your expensive burger he can’t afford
Sweet potato fries went well with that thing.
Umami house made ketchup and the diablo sauce are where its at
I found them to be very tough and under done. I’ve had them a couple times hoping they would improve. Same with the brisket. :\
The PLT is a great sandwich though.
I thought I was the only one posting meat pics to the internet…

Bump, went to Grover’s for lunch today mmmmmmmmmm
Ugh. I miss grovers
If you ever find yourself in or around Burlington vt, you have to eat here. It’s so good.

also, my in-house burgers are pretty outstanding… Mac salad and slaw was pretty great too
Still never been to Grover’s.
meh. im not from here and was never really impressed. i only went there after it was on tv so maybe it was better before that.
vizzys went down hill as well IMO. not bad but not the same.
Vizzy’s I think makes a really solid burger. Don’t think it’d be my number 1, but it’s definitely a great burger, cheap(er). Still love wolfing down 5 Guys, Charlie the Butcher makes some damn good burgers.
I make my own burgers at home and keep them simple.
1lb of 80/20 beef (I think 80/20 is mandatory to get a juicy burger. Lower Fat ones dry out)
1/2 Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1 Egg
1/4 Tbsp Salt
1/8 Tbsp Pepper
(optionally diced onion or peppers)
Cook on Medium heat 8min per side. Should be 2-3 flips at most. I’ve found that using refrigerated, cold meat works better at preventing insane flare ups as opposed to meat that’s been out thawing on the counter and may not be cold.
I wouldn’t call it cheap, but EBC’s kobe truffle burger is amazing.
I still think Cole’s has the best burgers in the city.
Now I want beef.
