the bank doesnt determine the flood zone, thats fema’s job. and per your mortgage contract if you are in a flood zone you are required to carry coverage. so if you can get the property secured by the mortgage out of the flood zone you win!
Thats the thing tho, I have a letter from the town engineer saying that the dwelling is not in the flood zone but the parcel is. That is how he reads the map, the bank on the other hand thinks the dwelling is it the zone. It literally does a circle around my property.
haha thats right by my ex gf’s house, they live on green forest or w/e that next street is, 20 year old house with poured foundation and finished basement and already have water damage on the drywall down there / their backyard is a swamp 5 months a year
