TomTom or Garmin = most reliable.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16858194047&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle--GPS+Navigation--TomTom-_-58194047

My father has that one and its fantastic.

The Streetpilot series by Garmin is also worth checking out,C340,C550…

Go Garmin.
buy.com

tomtom one or garmin 200 would be perfect for her… about $150-200 depending on the sale

thankyou very helpful!

come up to best buy we have very good deals this week have the tom tom 130 (kinda the new tomtom 1) for 149 and the 330 xl for 199. I work at the galleria one by the way

i snagged a factory serviced TomTom for just a hair over 100 on ebay, theres tons of em on there.

I think the Garmin’s are the best. Some of the Tom Tom’s need you to put a zip code in. The Garmin’s figure it out themselves and saves you a step. Plus the Tom Tom’s send you on retarded routes sometimes.

Easier detour function with the Garmin as well.

I got mine at Best Buy but I know a bunch of people who have scored really good prices on them at Walmart.

Garmin makes the best hardware, but thier software can be lacking sometimes. The TomToms are nice units as well, so just get either one of those and im sure it will do her well.

Just try and stay away from the uber cheap models of either. If its like $100, unless its ebay, it might be crappy compared to a $150 model.

Expect to spend $200 and you should be able to find a nice unit for that.

My friend had a Tom Tom one and its great cause of the maps on it, (US and Canada) but the points of interest need help, though his is a revision old now. But Garmins Points of interest seem to be spot on. But you need to spend a bit more to get the US and Canada.

About $200 for a Tom Tom about $300 for a Garmin is what I would look for in price range. If you like finding resturants I would say the Garmin is the way to go. (I dont recall what model Garmin I used, But it was great to have)

sister has a garmin, i have a tom tom. I may be bias but I like the tom tom better

techbargains.com and click the gps button.

That will show you the deals…

Buy.com usually has a SICK deal on a gps, most of them have mail in rebates however.

my cheapo tom tom works nice
