Whitey's 1993 Nissan 240sx

Its been a while but here is the latest update on my project 240. First off none of this could be done without Jeff from 1st Try! I owe him big time :hitit:

Right now we are doing a complete restore on the exterior, well mainly jeff. I watch and help when I can, but he is the body work master…

We used a high grade paint stripper to help get us down to the bare metal, definitely got kind of fun at the end.

Here is me putting the potent stuff on the hatch

One side almost done, I had a real big dent by the drivers door that jeff pulled and made it real nice and smooth. notice the rear marker is gone, the front marker is there but not for long!

A soon to be hot 240 and a never going to run jeep!

Nothing like watching paint sizzle off! Here is the stripper in action, notice the holes in the hatch. We will be shaving the rear wiper and the stock wing. Under the stock wing we found a little bit of rust so we cut it out and will later weld patches in

Sick but I keep on kicking! the paint peels right off! Great stuff!

I took the bumper off since it needed trimmed a little better to make sure everything fits properly. In the next few weeks I will be taking out the intercooler and piping to actually paint the intercooler brackets and all the piping will be sent out to get powdercoated at AMF Coatings.

Engine bay, getting dirtier but it will definitely be all nice and clean when it leaves the shop! notice that their is not a wiring harness in there anymore!! Well I spent an afternoon with Jay from Hybridynamics and he showed me some of the tricks that he picked up over the years on how to clean up the wiring harness. I will be implementing most of these tricks when i start putting the car together

Jeff welding in a patch in the front fender. Thanks to s10blazed for bringing down a welder! Jeffs shit the bed and we were kind of stuck

A few spot welds does the job! Got to make sure it does not get to hot and warp the fender!

Me in my uniform grinding down all the welds from the recently installed patches in the hatch

The interior, I wanted to replace the carpet so i just decided to rip out the interior now so i could work on it on the side. Not to bad to take off the dash, will see how easily it goes back on! While I am messing with the interior I am going to run all new wire to all the speakers. the stock amp stuff is just nuts!

This side of the car was actually pretty clean. Just a whole bunch of door dings, jeff took care of it with some extra special putty work!
