ok,

i am doing some presenting in front of about 30+ Ontario shops on tuesday and wednesday.

I will be bringing every resume i have received and having them for review for those shops.

if you were on the fence about it up until now know that in order to get this chance i need resumes before monday afternoon to print and take with me.

especially any experienced techs.

As a result of this initiative (on SON and other Canadian Nissan forums) we are flying in candidates from across Canada for certain key corporate positions. I was just phoned by our Exec. VP of this.

I also know that some of the Ontario guys have also been contacted for positions at some of our key Ontario franchise locations.

This is the real deal guys…

I’m happy to confirm TWO successful hires into the CARSTAR network.

One is a major corporate position for our Alberta MDM, hired through NECC, and the other is a key role for our largest franchisee in his Ontario network through SON240sx.

I’ve been getting requests for people in Ottawa / Cornwall with no luck yet.

This is an on-going project… so keep it coming.

hmmm, i see there’s one in north bay. as a 2nd year electrical apprentice, you think i could get on doing some mechanical work? cant leave the company i’m with yet as we have a HUGE contract, and i’m the only other guy that can read prints and figure out how to do stuff from them. but just curious to know what the odds are.

put a resume together and i will make sure the right people see it…

i am not in HR and i dont have much experience with Northern Ontario stores so the rest is up to you.

We’re looking for a young guy to be a junior tech in a new store concept in Grimsby.

basically you would end up doing glass work, minor scratch and dent, light PDR, detailing etc.

very likely to be a light work load for the first while as this is a new store concept. you’ll have a fair amount of autonomy and if you position yourself right there is fantastic upward mobility if the concept works out. Either managing the location or helping open other locations and defining the processes for the first one.

pay will start at $13 - $15 depending on credentials.

don’t even talk to me if you cant show up on time 5 days a week… the last thing i need is to refer someone like that.

The 2 guys i’ve placed so far are working out well, so lets keep the streak going.

we’re also looking for a CSR for this location… they’re thinking a bright young chick, but a guy could get it…

i don’t know if this would apply but would they hire an ex aircraft N.D.T non destructive testing inspector (apprentice) but i have 1.5 of experience in all forms of testing. had to quit cause they were buring me out and airplanes cause looking for cracks on airplanes WILL make you SUPER STRESSED. it’s a shot in the dark but who knows for references u call all the canadian airlines and ask them bout me

i dont do the hiring…

send resume to my carstar e-mail posted somewhere in here… we go from there.

Ok guys…

we are now hiring for at least 1 corporate position here in Hamilton.

we had a person in my department take a job on the property side of the insurance industry with another company, big raise etc.

there is now a position open in the insurance dept. at CARSTAR. as mentioned, this person will report to me.

position requires a university degree or if college you would need some experience and a solid resume… insurance industry experience an asset.

gotta be strong wtih excel and compitent with access databases.

this is a full time gig at $38k - $48k to start depending on credentials. Very solid for Hamilton for a young guy.

you dont have to be a model, but you better clean up well and have proper biz-casual attire. if you have stupid tats, piercings and suck at english dont bother…

one of the key roads to success in this role is interpersonal skills… when you are in the room with industry folks you have to be able to shine it on like nuts…

same resume rules apply… GO!!!

Looking for experienced Class A tech in west GTA… $18 - $19/hr +

dependent on experience.

no douchebags please.
