You can get a t56 for around 1500. If I were doing a swap I wouldn’t even consider a 4l60e
just pull it and build it…

T56 if you want a clutch, if you’re building an auto, it better do wheelies and have a 'glide or TH400 IMO. Overdrive blows.

4L80e will hold more in stock form than a TH400 any day, built they will be nearly identical. Overdrive does NOT blow for a street car (and when I say street car, I mean one that will see ANY distance at all). Why use ancient technology when 4L80e’s are under a grand and will hold 800hp with nothing but a shift kit (the same shift kit also comes with a FMVB option that you can put in). They also make trans brakes for 4l80e’s…
