Yeah I was surprised that people were hesitant to help because that’s not the SON that once was, there use to be a time when we would go out of our way to help one another just for the sake that we were in the same car club and we had the same common interests that created a family bond like friendship among us… And no I am not bragging about my join date simply all I’m saying is that there are a few of us here (very few) who are in their mid 30’s and up and some people have had their 240s for a long time. I bought mine in 1999 (12 years ago) and if you consider that there are many members here who are like 16-17 years old you will come to my conclusion that some of us were driving 240’s when others were still toddlers… Oh and by the way my join date was not 2004… 2004 was when they set up the new forum and for some reason they gave me a new join date and listed me as a new member. My official join date was in 2002 !

you’re forgetting the fact that 12 years ago, getting a fake safety/e-test was MUCH different than it is today. i don’t doubt that people were much more willing to help you back in 1999, but that’s because it was 1999. you try and walk into a shop today for a fake (even if you know the owner) and i bet most will tell you about how they would have done it if it was like 10 years ago and give you the whole talk about how the MTO is cracking down, etc. this is why i asked if you were actually surprised, because i assumed you’re aware of this whole situation.

Nobody wants to help you because its illegal and in the last few years technology has changed… if i did that etest for you i would get a $50,000 charge to myself and the shop would loose the liscence for up to 90 days… does that really sound worth it for a lousy $50.00, people are alot smarter than you think and are covering their own ass’s. some people are just thinking about themselves and dont give 2 shits about the others.

When I worked at Prestige I use to help out people all the time, I sold a few 240’s to a few guys here, I would hook people up with parts at cost all the time and whatever connections I had I would use them for people here. …I miss putting meets together, my meets kicked ass, they were not for pussies. Who remembers the cannonball run down the 427 and the cops at Area240 LOL! Good times, Good times!
Anyway back on subject. Yes I am aware of the fines shops can get if they don’t follow the rules and regulations and I am aware that many mechanics are not willing to help out the way they use to years ago when they could get away with things here and there. But I am also aware that there are creative people out there who are not robots and they think outside the box and they make things happen! For every problem there is a solution, you don’t necessarily have to solve the problem… You can find ways around it 
No offence to the youth in here but this system has your generation all brain washed like zombies, they don’t want you guys to think on your own, they want you all to just react to what they make you believe… This is why they hate us old schoolers, we outsmarted and outwitted their systems because we were taught to think differently! Knowledge over education and street smart above all… Okay I’m gonna shut the fuck up right now because I am probably starting to sound like some of your parents and I am really starting to feel old LOL!

^Truth.^ This is what the “education” and media are for. They instill insecurities and make fairly normal things outlandish and criminal. Good to see some people still use their brains and think for themselves.
So sad to see today’s youth so brainwashed… They are like a bunch of robots all trained to think the same and react the same… It reminds me of the movie Demolition man where people in the future were all brainwashed and taught by the government how to think, what to think and how to react.
