with all of the talk of 70’s and 80’s era bikes lately, it had me wondering how many NYspeeders are riding old bikes. Would be cool if we could get some rides together instead of trying to ride with the sportbike crowd and being left in the dust…
I thought this was about vespas too. I was riding down elmwood earlier this week and there was about 8 sport bikes that passed each other and exchanged the “wave”. A scooter was behind the people on the other side and like clockwork, everyone immediately put their hands back on their bars and refused to wave.
I could use a hand with my cb750… I’m new to bikes and just picked it up. I could use someone to look it over… When I get my ss brake lines in, if someone wants to supervise
Also where is the best place to go for an inspection?
Gus, Where are you located? if you can bring the bike over to my place in cheektowaga I’d be MORE THAN HAPPY to wrench and drink beers. I got mad spare parts kicking around haha. I’m near Union and George Urban.
actually, that goes for anyone haha. I love fabbing and cafe bikes. at any given time I have 3-4 bikes in my garage and only two are mine haha.
oh, and for inspection…when your bike’s ready you can follow me to where I get mine done…I need mine inspected too…he’s in Orchard Park next to St. John Vianney church (empire Cycle…Lee is THE MAN)
I’m always down lol. I know you had interest in a seat…you can check mine out and if you like it we can discuss me making a fiberglass copy of it for ya.
If by rocking you mean teeter tottering it on the center stand then im in! Not enough hours in the day to get that damn thing finished. When itys done though it will have a ninja front end, and im still in the process of designing an exhaust for it, and I still have no god damn clue as to what im going to do about a seat.
