^^^
with the help of a good friend i made a sissy bar for the new commuter this weekend.
i should have prob taken a picture of the final product but i still need to paint it
within the past week i stripped some of the fat from this bike.
-removed the ridiculous apes that it came with
-removed the enormous signals
-turned a shitty battery tender-esque item into a cell phone charger for road trips
-threw on some old saddle bags
-removed the front dirt bike fender
-removed the baffles from the exhaust
this is my daily rider out here in SoCal so im sure ill fuck with it a bunch.
im waiting on my rear lowering kit to arrive along with my solo lepera seat
eventually id like to get a new fender on the back with a sissy mounted tail light/plate and some new tanks that arent yellow lol

Hi all, new to the forum but this is where I belong. I currently have 5 vintage bikes in the garage. My daily rider, do all et all ride is my 1983 Goldwing
This is the only good pic I have of it right now. That’s the day I brought home the chassis for my Drag bike.

It’s a D&G J model Kawasaki conversion frame with a CCR rear wheel, 7" slick, unknown stretched swingarm, and a 1 piece glass body. I found a 1983 ZX1100 GPZ donor bike to use for power.

Here it is at test and tune last spring at Empire

I have run a best of 6.99 @ 101 at Lancaster with it. I didn’t run it very much last year but am hoping to get out more this year. This thing is a blast to ride.
I have a 1975 Honda CB500T hardtail bobber that has been an ongoing project nearing completion. It was hardtailed when I got it but the work was terrible and I had to redo it. It has a rebuilt motor, foot clutch, 13 ball shifter, CB750 forks and wheels, CB160 Headlight with speedo, and a Mustang tank. There is way more done to it but it would take forever to list it all. I have messaged every part on this bike and everything has been custom built.
Here’s a couple pics of some other bikes I built.
1983 GPZ750 1979 CX500

I also have a 1982 Yamaha 550 Vision project and just picked up Genaro’s Suzuki. What can I say? I have a weakness for old Jap bikes. Might have something to do with my very first bike being a 1978 KZ1000. It is a wonder I’m not dead from that beast. I plan on contributing more on the site. I’m not the best at writing but I do my best. I will be updating as some of these projects come together and Drag season gets here. TTFN

Also, I have a nice enclosed trailer setup for hauling bikes if any of you guys need one transported. Don’t be bashful about asking.
Love the drag bike and the cx500…I’ve wanted to cafe a cx500 for a long time, yours reminds me of the one Doc’s Chops did on Cafe Racer TV a while back.
I sold the CX500 last year. It had horrible vibrations in the bars that would put your hands to sleep in 5 minutes. I will never have another CX, it was a total pain in the ass. Stick with an air cooled CB of any vintage. They are way simpler to work on and won’t fill the crankcase with coolant on a whim.
The drag bike is just stupid fun. I’ve had it to 130 mph at Empire. If I can swing it I’d like to swap some gears and take it to the ECTA mile run in Ohio and see what it will do.
I have quite the fleet of my own lol. I have a '75 cb550, had a 76 cb750, have a '79 yamaha xs650 chopper, an xs750 triple bratstyle, and am part owner of another xs750 that’s getting a SERIOUS cafe treatment…I’ve also split/flipped a few cb550’s, cb500t, cb360’s, etc.
I’m pretty handy on vintage bikes…
We will have to get together sometime. If it gets a little warmer I can get the wing out for ride.
Yes you are.
Wait, wut.
Welcome Vandal, here’s my POS garage built POS. It’s my first vintage. I may dump it soon and look for something else. I’ve got high CL pipes on it now, but you get the jist. Love the drag bike, dude!

My kind of ride Max! I like 'em to be just a little less than perfect, if they were too nice I wouldn’t want to ride 'em. I too get bored with a bike fast and then want something else. The only bike I have hung on to is my Goldwing but I have no ambition to change anything on it. It is a surprisingly capable bike for an 83 and I am real happy with it.
CHOPPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Working on the cb360 today, chain sprockets, new clutch cable. Bunch of little shit.
While out in Texas visiting @bladez for the TX2K14 I got to ride a couple of my other buddies bikes.
I am. And it’s for sale since I need to move to something better since I’m moving down south. Fun while it lasted though.
Added another bike to my collection. It’s a project but doesn’t have much left to do, going for that flat tracker look. Will post pics once it’s delivered in a few weeks.
you know how I feel about this.
also, now you own the same two bikes as me, just different model years lol. Get a suzuki RMZ450 now and we’ll be like twins!
