Who's rocking a vintage motorcycle?

seems like lots of you guys are having seat woes…I’m for hire to wrench on these old bikes at very reasonable rates lol. I’m pretty good at fiberglass and can make a seat from scratch cheaper than you can buy one on ebay and it will be hand-made to fit. I’m also pretty darn good at diagnosing on these and getting them to run damn good…

Your car needs some of that TLC too, maybe you can split it between them both…

Im trying to get an old bike now! i’ve been wanting to build a cafe for some time now! that’ll be my new winter project. Along with a turbo kit on my other bike.

I havent had mine out in about two weeks. Motocrossx23 has had some shitty hours at work so we haven’t worked on his GS750 in about a week and a half, and GtiKyle’s XS650 has been running but still with the old dented to hell tank and I havent made permanent mounts for his seat yet. might not have everyone together until the end of september at the earliest haha. might be some COLD rides, but that’s ok…they’re CAFE racers remember? we’ll just cruise from coffee shop to coffee shop hahaha.

bump, spring is a few weeks away…how’s everyone’s projects coming along???

^lol.

I have a 74 (?) Kawasaki f7 that I bought last fall. I’m still waiting for the title from the PO, he said if he couldn’t get me a title he would buy it back. I’ll give him another month or so. (edit: legit story here, he is a sheriff investigator)

Here is the best picture I have of it:

So far I’ve only shortened the shift lever since I’m not sure if I’ll keep it but I have new mirrors, bar wiring, and turn signals ready. It feels like it needs a clutch but it still goes great. A neighbor down the street has one that is in super mint condition, I’m jelly.

yup

Pan is still under the cover with the soft tail. CRF is ready to rock.

I moved mine around the garage a bunch of times. Still done zero work on it in the last year after disassembling the carb.
I’d like to get it going this year.

if you need/want any help/company/motivators don’t hesitate to hit up me and/or Motocrossx23…we’re always down for cafe awesomenessessess.

PS! If any of you vintage bike guys are interested, me and Chris are planning to caravan down to mid-ohio vintage motorcycle days in july…going to ride the edge of the lake all the way down and split the trip into two stints…ride halfway, stay overnight at a campground (which I’ve already located one almost dead on halfway) and then finish the ride…would leave thursday lunchtime to get there sometime friday afternoon and then leave again sunday night to do the same on the way home to return around mid-day monday. Should be an awesome adventure and the more the merrier!

I’m pumped for the vintage bike day. Worst case scenario the cafe isn’t done, I have a bike still.

if your cafe isn’t done by july, we/you have serious issues!!! lol

Still working on mine, havent had a lot of time to get stuff done since it’s not stored in my garage right now.
1980 Sportster ironhead.

BUMP for Gennaro!

post some pics!

I might be interested in the ride down, I won’t be on a vintage but I’m in for bikes and awesomeness.

If my cafe isn’t done I’m taking the 919

if your cafe isnt done I will be PISSED at you lol. My buddy down in ohio said vintage motorcycle days is around an hour away from him anyway…so we are going to ride the scenic route down leaving thursday, get halfway, stay overnight at a campground for $20, get up friday and ride to Dayton to meet up with him and grab dinner/hang for a bit, then shoot to mid-ohio and he said he’s down going in on a hotel with us…if Gennaro goes with we’ll get two rooms so we don’t have to double-up dudes in beds lol.

as for the ride, the more the merrier! just keep in mind we are avoiding the highway because our vintage air-cooler bikes can’t handle that shit lol, so its going to take us literally twice as long to make the trip and we’ll be making it a two-day ride down and two-day ride back

Let’s see how fast it can be done without taking any shortcuts lol.
