GV has been helping me put together a sweet restomod cb550 with a lot of reconditioned or NOS parts so I have a cool vintage daily…been spending sundays out at his shop to get away from my own spot and do something for ME.
I’m getting pretty stoked as we’re getting close to firing it up. maybe one or two more sundays. When I sell the bike pictured above the plate and insurance will be swapped to this bike
How awful does a bike with dirt bike tires handle?
depends on brand Krant…and tread pattern. The ones on GV’s bike are actually a dual sport tire, I have an account with Heidenau so got him a good deal on them and did his mount/balance. He’s only ridden them a day or two, I’m patiently awaiting his ride report on what he thinks of them overall.
I considered K60’s but went Mitas E07 instead on the Super Tenere. Absence of that center strip helps with legitimate traction off road
Still much faster than you’ll ever be…old man!
Waiting for some decent weather to give them a proper report…hopefully this Sunday! Honestly I’m pleased thus far. Ripped around a couple turns forgetting I had dual sport tires and they still stuck to the pavement.
