Who's the body shop to go to nowadays?

I send all my bmw and corvette friends to west herr collision in Lockport. A close friend of mine works there and his work is fantastic.

I’ll make those stops too.

Thanks.

Wonder if they are going to repair the bumper or replace it. Something like that looks like a replacement which is why you are probably seeing a higher price.

One listed repair, one listed replace. ironically it was the MB licensed shop that was $900.
MB wants $695 for just the cover. https://mbparts.mbusa.com/v-2011-mercedes-benz-c300--4matic-sport--3-0l-v6-gas/body--bumper-and-components-front

Seems like a terrible idea to try and bondo that 1/8" think plastic/paint in a spot that gets a lot of abuse. Although it’s not low enough, it is still only a few inches off the ground.

I’m pretty sure there are no weird new vibes. If I didn’t need new engine mounts and possibly flex disc’s I would know for sure

The car is also in desperate need of a good detail and maybe ceramic coating deal.

Alright, I’m in this situation now for my moms vehicle. Someone decided to roll into it while it was parked at a party she was at on Sunday. Because of this she will not require a whole new door on her Highlander.

Any word on who has the best paint specialist in the area for collision ships? I want to make sure this door is blended properly and doesn’t look off in color. Too many people out there who don’t know how to blend properly and the red will be an off shade to what it should be.

Thank you.

I’ll still recommend Ken @ Aero in Lancaster.

He did my CC when some a$$shole in a jeep decided to try and go around the car in front of them and turned right into the side of my car as I was passing by them in my lane. 2 new doors and some repairs on the rear fender. It was delayed a couple days because the first door he was sent wasn’t up to his standards, which I applauded him for doing. It was done perfect, and that car had VW’s “light brown metallic” that looks silver in one light all the way to champaign in another light.

This is the side that was repaired. Photo is from when I took all the sale ad pictures when I sold it.

He also did a small repair on my Enclave when someone backed into it in a parking lot, as well as a MAJOR repair on a friends CR-V when she rear ended someone pretty hard in a snow storm.

EDIT: He would have been doing another friend’s Ford Edge but insurance totaled that one (same friend with the CR-V, they were happy enough with the work to go back).

Feel free to drop my name if you go there. I know Ken knows I’ve sent him several jobs. Not sure if that will get you any better service or not but might help me next time I have a cash repair I need done.

Was that the same muffler some old guy in an SUV ran over? The show was epic. Hit jammed up in his undercarriage and pole vaulted the ass end right off the road. Watched him spew fuel all the way to the Colvin exit.

I have no idea if its the same one. I’m pretty sure it was 7/20.

It also had a decent amount of pipe attached to it and was in the middle lane at the time.

Has anyone gone to Leslies on Grand Island? I’ve heard that’s a great place to take your car to get restored or any accidents to be repaired. Coming from someone that’s worked in autobody repair for around 20yrs now and had their own shop.
