150k, car… taped together washers to shim body panels, and nice welds
doesn’t surprise me. Ive seen cases where people bought brand new mustangs…had problems and end up finding cigarette butts and garbage inside the cylinder heads.
sweeeeeeeet
what car is that?
looks like ford gt
yeah… while the GT’s seemed pretty nice, and limited production, i was always baffled as to what exactly made them a 150K car. when you can get a viper for 1/2 as much.
i’m just saying.
i’m willing to be those welds are done by robots with full automation. No one can weld that bad… no one.
Why get a viper when you can get a Z06 for less? Or spend the money and get the Corvette SS that is coming out.
This is exactly why I laugh when I here the GT compared to a Ferrari or Porsche.
Some people just don’t understand the pride and craftmenship of Porsche and Ferrari.
:word:
I guess you have never seen the build quality of a early 90’s Ferrari. Many would make the GT’s build quality look top notch.
ever see the interior of an 80s testarossa? absolute shit quality. i was appalled, and i didn’t really think that i was the type of person that cared about interior quality all that much.
Discovery channel had a 1 hour special on the new ferrari being made. Their build quality and manufacturing process was simple amazing. It was called Ultimate Factories.
I remeber taking the dash off a Grand Am to install an auto-starter and found a razor blade that had been spot welded between two panels. Couldn’t find the line of coke though.
Also… you can’t compare the build quality of the 80’s even the early 90’s to now…a lot of things have changed, including the supplier quality standards, automation, and the developed processes. If you want to compare an 80’s Ferrari Build quality…to compare it to a 2005 Ford vehicle, compare it to an 80’s Ford
2005 Ford Quality > 80’s Ferrari Quality
80’s Ferrari Quality >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 80’s Ford Quality
