Why I won't ever be going back to suburban auto electric...

Thanks for posting this up.

I was totally planning on taking the project car there in a week or two when the project car is ready to drive.

They did a good job on my 06 wrx two years ago, but no way will I take the Miata there if this is the kind of work they’re turning out.

Be sure to post a follow-up after you talk to them.

they accidentally the whole suspension

IN FOR RESULTS!!!

Sucks Jim. Nice save.

Fixed.

I was dissapointed in how I was treated last time I was there , I just got my 'e done by Goodyear on Sheridan, no complaints

i had a somewhat similar experience at goodyear gemini in west seneca. these guys not only fucked up my alignment (in all 3 tries), they jacked up my freshly painted car on the FENDER where it clearly says “DO NOT JACK HERE”. i still have the paint chips in my tool box with “DO NOT JACK HERE” clearly imprinted into them.

we tore them a new one, but they just don’t understand. there are very few places i trust with my car. i feel for you

Im always nervous whenever I take my car anywhere. Someone always manages to fuck up something.

But missing such a vital suspension bolt is insane. That would fuck shit up hard… And you probably couldnt do shit about it after it happened.

I posted my less than stellar experience with suburban too about a year ago. I would never take my car there again

damn this sucks. i just had some work done there not too long ago.

so whats the verdict?

updated original post, fuck that place, what a bunch of worthless pieces of shit.

edit: and i resized the picture so it isn’t ginormous anymore.

Post up the name of the guy that you talked to so that we can all call and say thanks to you not refunding James you will never have my business. I would bet after about 10 of those calls you may get a call offering you the $.

shity … sry guy…

ugh, it’s like they want to fail. Don’t they realize that not taking care of one pissed off customer when you screw up costs you at least 10x more in negative word of mouth?

Chino, myself, and ramon all took our STi’s there with the same coilover setup.

Ramon had 4/5 lugs finger loose on one wheel when we went to pick his up. :bloated:

I haven’t had my car up to check to see if all the nuts are still there… great.

dot.

not sure of the name, but i know it was the (or one of the) shop managers… sadly i’ve been there so many times I know his voice versus the desk jockey.

forgot to mention that i told him about the lug nuts and he said no idea why we would have loosened those… uh… yea…

the guy seriously was just prepared to offer nothing. as soon as i started telling him what happened he was like well, sorry about that, not much we can do.

oh and geoff, that nut is $6.50. only place you can get it from is subaru dealership, trust me i tried every store imagineable. they won’t have it in stock but it is the same part as the lower control arm nut, which they do have.

i am just thankful that my suspension didn’t come apart on the thruway or something… if i had to eat a grand worth of body damage, and 3 grand worth of wheel/suspension/brake components i’d probably be in cuffs for being there in person stabbing the dude in the face instead of a phone call.

this is garbage.

they would try to retain you if you were 70y/o and had a vette … the guys their are all assholes They would not even work on a problem I had at one time b/c my car was modded

i know the family that owns it…they live on my mom’s street…they cant refund you money because then they cant buy gaudy rims and other chrome nonsense for shitty SUVs and C4 vettes and bad motorcycles

oh really? maybe i should stop by and loosen the lug nuts on all of their chrome wheels then… at least then we’re just about even.

hahaha.

agreed.
