Why I won't ever be going back to suburban auto electric...

show up and say something. everyone sounds like a bad ass with customers over the phone until it actually hits their doorstep.

and call channel 2.

the son that runs it is the huge guy at the front counter with the shitty ZX14 with spikes all over it…he once told me the 22" or 24" rims on his truck were 1 of 2 sets…Ludacris owned the other set

:picard: at shops who don’t realize how small the WNY automotive community is. Not taking care of this and refunding one alignment is going to cost them so much more.

i clearly remember a guy who looked like Muscle50 romping around the school in a C4 vette with ugly ass wheels on it. Didn’t they have a shitty explorer/tahoe/domestic truck too?

sounds like “GTO GUY” they must be friends

lol paul doesnt look like jesse, hes a nice kid though…he doesnt work with his brother and dad there, he started his own non car related business…was an auto '84 red C4 with ZR1 wheels and exhaust

We should have a bunch of people call to make appts. Then call back the next day and say “shit, I heard about you guys on the internet and what you did to those kid’s STi’s… forget it.”

i would do that

you should post it on craigslist …see what other storys you will get emailed

that’s what i was thinking

yep, i’m not even that spiteful about this but only because i got lucky and found it before it blew apart… but i’m more than glad to look out for others when a business clearly does not care about their service what-so-ever.

lol, i mentioned that i help run (even though im just a shitty jr. moderator :gay:) the largest auto site in wny, for whatever that’s worth

the ridiculous thing is it sounds like a family run business, which normal characteristics of those types of shops are you may not always get the best product but they will stand behind their work 100%. clearly the later part of my example is not the case here.

Yeah, and between here and all the people you talk to autocrossing that’s a ton of bad publicity for them.

I’d file a legitimate complaint with the AG. That sort of conduct by a shop is absurd and a massive safety risk to everyone who has had their car worked on by them, or has driven anywhere near someone who has had their cars worked on there.

Show those douche-bags what’s up.

I love how they acted like a mistake on their part was impossible. Do they think people call up and blame them for bolts they loosened themselves?

Did you go there in person yet? I may have missed that post if you did.

its not worth the trip to go

thats what they all say.
in my case, i got my car back and put in on the lift. the steering rack was not tightened down one bit; the one bolt was just in there with 1" of play up and down like the OP. i brought it back and was like WTF MANG. they go “it would be impossible for that to happen, we SHAKE THE CAR before completing it. it is something you did” L O L

between that and the final fuck up, they lost thousands in business between our personal cars and business work we sent their way…

Some advice I got from a state supreme court judge once: The DMV licenses shops. If there are enough complaints the DMV investigates. The shop has to close down while the DMV investigates. Shops don’t like DMV complaints. Someone else on here cough can comment on whether or not this is a good idea.

ahh you never remember that you can do that to the DMV

How do I file a complaint about a repair shop, inspection station or dealer?

Useform VS-35 (Vehicle Safety Complaint Report) to file a complaint. To ask how to file your complaint, call the DMV Division of Vehicle Safety Services at (518) 474-8943 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. weekdays.

To learn about the complaint process, read the brochure What to Expect if You File a Complaint Against a DMV Regulated Business.

Note: The DMV can investigate vehicle repair complaints that are made within 90 days or 3,000 miles of the repair, whichever comes first. The Department cannot resolve disputes over the terms of manufacturer warranties or guarantees.

Contact the Office of the NYS Attorney General to get general information about the “Lemon Law”. Call 1-800-771-7755 (1-800-788-9898 for hearing impaired persons) to get information about complaints and the “Lemon Law.”

I’d do it. This isn’t some, “oops, we forgot to set it to the spec you requested” BS, this is a serious safety hazard and it sounds like it’s common for them.
