Watch the video. I’m thinking its a busted starter, I have yet to check any relays
Sounds like you are getting a solenoid click so I’d say it’s a starter. I would check cables/grounds before replacing the starter bc they don’t seem to go bad often.
Thanks. I checked the ground and it’s not that but I’ll keep looking around. Replacing the starter is kind of a pain since you have to remove the intake manifold etc.
Yea the car only has like 7x,xxx miles on it. Figure a starter would last longer then that since my other cars have 105k and 95k on them
“Remove the intake manifold”. Nice.
Check for corrosion where the starter meets the engine block. Run a jumper cable from the ground on the battery to the starter and rule that out. Test for a full 12v getting to the starter. If not those then pull the starter. I just had to replace the lady’s starter on her civic. Same Motor and she has 135K I believe.
I did not remove the intake mani when I did her car but there will be a typical intake support bracket above the starter. Make sure you get a lift. Laying on my back was a pita.
Thanks^
i checked the starter relay and it was fine
soni pulled the intake manifold and changed the starter. Car fired right up
