Just kidding mike! No, seriously, him driving had NOTHING to do with the piston melting. and hes one hell of a driver (a certain WRX driver can tell you that ) Anyways, here are some pics of the piston that melted on my way to the track while racing TheBlue!
details lol
previous owner had head replaced, didnt reconnect knock sensor. when I was using the SAFC to pull fuel, ECU and data logger didnt detect any knock. so basicly i pulled to much fuel out, went to lean and it melted. oh well, live and learn.
this on a dsm?
damn thats a nasty pic.
which talon was this?
LOL… so not my fault
Some new rings and it’ll be just fine.:wiggle:
bullshit … jb weld is all thats needed, no need for new rings
shittyyy
LOL…i know how it feels though…i have some pics of my pistons somewhere on here…was not good at all lol
yea …i saw the engine @ hybrid shortly after they pulled it … nuts
the 90. new motor was souposed to go in this past monday, but ive been really really sick all week.
a side note, knock probably had nothing to do with this. knock doesnt melt pistons, it breaks them.
no pyrometer I assume?
Im failing to see why these things had anything to do with each other?
lol,…dam. You should keep it as a Troffee
Now I’m gonna have to have the mad scientist tear down the block and replace the piston rings you fried.
oh man, thats one fucked up piston, i didnt even think that was possible  to winning the award for most fucked up motor
unfortunatly not, at the time i had owned the car for about 2-3 weeks
the other 3 pistons’s rings were allmost non exsistant and the blocks cyl walls were alllll messed up. my machinest only saved this one for me, or i would have posted pictures of those as well. trust me, the motor detonated/knocked itself to death.
