what is the widest tire you can fit on a stock s13? (stock rims, etc etc)
I was running 225/50/16’s on my GTS-T rims ( 16 x 6.5 )
im on 17x8 +32 with 225/45/17 on the fronts with like 5mm from rubbing the coilover and sitting right about flush with the fenders no roll or pull.
then 17x9 +35 with 255/40/17 on the rears… with lots of room before rubbing the coilover and also sitting right about flush.
ive seen a tear drop with 9s on it (late model race tires)

I know it’s not a S13 but I can fit 17x9 +17 with 255/40/17 under my fenders with a rolling of the fender lip. I’m lowered about 3 inches on FLT-A2’s.
I’m pretty S13 wheel wells may be a bit smaller.
I m pretty sure on a stock s13 rim u can’t really go wider then 205 up front unless u got coilovers, even then with stock rims i would say you can’t go past 225, judging on the cleareance i got, cuz i got 17 x 8 upfront and well my cleareance between my coilover and rim is so small that you can’t even wedge your finger in.
dont put anything wider than a 215 on a stock wheel - you can mount bigger but even at 215 you’re going to have a sloppy sidewall unless you get something like an rt615 or similar with a super stiff sidewall.
either way, i recommend staying to 205 wide maximum - nothing to do with clearence of the fender or suspension … thats really irrelevant as you’ve got a ton of room on both sides on the stock s13 wheel… dont listen to these guys.
225 is an absolute nono unless its a slick
thanks for all the opinions and advice. at least now i know where i stand. i have a set of 315’s i’ll see if the squeeze in, doubt it but worth a shot.
205’s on stock rims.
u don’t have a lot of room on the front stock suspension, those front springs are huge, i don’t c how you could run anything bigger than a 205 confortably, atleast on my car that is.
