Verizon devices are the worst…
I knew there was a Verizon device in there somewhere. It’s the 929:
Supposedly 5-inch, 1080P, quad-core, 20 MP PureView. Looks wireless charging capable too.
so… the 929 is a 928 with the usb on the bottom, the headphone jack in the middle on top now… and a little bigger and cooler? hrmm.
I just jumped ship back to Nokia and got a 928 so I could be like Geehee now that he got me free unlimited data again for following in his footsteps, then he shared his appreciation for unicorns and butterflies.
Still no Amber… FU VZW, but I did manage to get glance to work after futzing with it forever, no notifications on glance, just the clock and vibrate icon. It’s a start. What should I get, do or any tips? Got a Qi charger from my brother in law who scrapped his 920 on AT&T. I’m a big fan of that. My usb port on my Maxx that shit the bed was BEAT, so saving that port was a nice plus.
You have no Amber update, but have glance? I thought it was only on the Amber update?

So there is a running meme about Nokia phones being indestructible, and I just read this, lol:
Roger Nilsson lost his Nokia Lumia 800 in a lake and was able to recover it. The first Windows Phone handset from Nokia was at the bottom of this lake for 3.5 months until he was able to retrieve it. The condition? Covered in algae. Here’s what Roger say’s happened after recovering the device:

I have a 928 with the glance beta nokia app and no Amber, yes. I only get the clock, charging icon, and vibrate/ring icon, it turns red when I set it to night mode (user adjustable time input) but no email, text or missed call icon. 
No one has those notifications yet, those are coming in Black.

So it’s significantly faster and apps like facebook are updating/synching MUCH better
People online are saying battery life is better we shall see I could already get a couple days out of a charge.
This seems like a viable option for me to leave the world of Apple. Would you say this is smoother than the iPhone? And how is the third party software support with apps?
My issues were around really specific apps I use for work since I travel a lot specifically concur and tripit are both really bad compared to the iPhone.
It’s as smooth as the iPhone and my battery life on this kills the iPhone.
If you just use the phone for facebook, email, txt, calling its a great phone. I would just check if your life revolves around any really specific apps before switching.
I got around the issues I was having with the other two apps and just bring my iPad mini with me when I travel for work.
