Some things may be above the nerdiness on this forum but I am sure there is a few of you that will find this entertaining. For the common person, the next windows should be Windows 9 but will be Windows 10 because it will break the shit out of old Windows 95 and 95 and ME code.

Why are they still worried about windows 95 or 98 compatibility…?
A lot of code is built on top of old code they’re worried about other companies who wrote bad code.
Windows 7/8 still has code from previous versions in it also
Yeah, some companies are big enough where if they have a problem with software, Microsoft will go around the clock to fix it.

That really isn’t how the world works lol
A large number of the security features Microsoft implements are to protect the OS/users from other companies shitty code(Adobe products, Java, etc)
You also have to understand that if Windows version whatever doesn’t support legacy apps large corps will be slow to adopt.
Also a lot of places like Banks for instance require so much testing that they don’t upgrade a program until they’ve needled through every scenario and feature. So some places may JUST be upgrading to Office 2007 or Windows 7.
