Windows Longhorn Vista Screenshots

I like it after playing for a week or so… clear toolbars are neat, some new features… new fades and browsing… mspaint is still kicking, default filetype is .png … has a new feature UAP to notify for root settings, almost redhatish.

anyone want to see something specific… post up

thats damn good looking

when is it supposed to go full fledged?

2006ish

the icons look like they were stolen from an apple.

it just looks like a skinned xp machine.

does it run fast on say 256mb of ram compared to xp or is it a memory pig like xp compared to 98? 128mb of ram on 98 was good but barely enough for xp.

default install package thus far: 2.7gig!
default ram requirement: 256m!

it’s 64 bit, so depending on processor it’s going to be a strong runner.

I’m too skeptical to get it on my netwrok and working hard quite yet… so we’ll see… i’m also on a sata drive, so IO is decent.

I ‘looks’ like a linux / mac in their own respects… but it still has the windows feel. I like it thus far.

wheres the blue screen :dunno:

Right-click > Send to > Remote Site > Be_rad@work

a copy for me to evaluate… :naughty:

if it means my porn will load faster, then I think its cool.

I was telling Mike about Windows Vista the other day, he told me I was a dork. http://www.xmbxtreme.com/images/smilies/dork.gif

Unfortunately, we probably won’t get anything @ work with Vista until we are required to do so, since it’s 64-bit doesn’t that mean most programs won’t be compatible at all?

put him on computer lock down for talking smack

nope… just means that if you dont’ have a 64bit processing processor that you will not be able to allocate any sort or mem / cpu requirements per operation… it’ll still run as an OS on a non-64b machine.

i doubt a lot of people will be going with it… i mean it won’t even be on the market through feburary at the earliest and who upgrades to the latest and greatest OS ASAP? no one…

its just something to play with.

As I sit here w/ a 64 bit machine, over 4 gigs of memory, SATA HDD etc. I’m jealous. Right now there’s more or less NOTHING running on my machine to take advantage of the 64 bit architecture.

whatever happened to windows 3.1 n’at? I’ll rock that shit hard.

i run it on a virtual server

if it’s worth your time, i can at least hook you up with windows xp 64bit.

sounds like you have a built machine… utilization is the next step.

fuck windows…Nerds!
