I want to paint my car myself this spring/when the weather is appropriate for doing so… Need air compressor and basically all the tools to do it! Any recommendations?
Don’t do it! It will get very expensive and tedious very fast, and you will hate life, especially if it’s your first time.
The car is a project car, it really needs paint so even if it doesn’t turn out perfect it will be an improvement. I still want to do it! I’m more asking what I need to buy although I have a friend who’s dad used to paint cars in his garage so maybe I will ask them too.
I thought there was another thread somewhere on here listing everything you needed…

I’m still torn on wheels.
Over the weekend a friend and I installed a 15% pulley, colder plugs, wires, belt, solid motor mount, and poly gear box bushings. I took it out for a quick spin and I’m very pleased with the results.
The next day we installed a Prosport boost gauge, Cravenspeed adjustable short shifter and shift well cover.
Loving how the car feels after everything. I have a bunch of suspension parts waiting to go on as well as a new exhaust from @BREETIME
how much power do they claim to make with that pulley? I’ve got a friend with a stock cooper s I’m trying to convince to mod it
They claim 20-25whp and more with an intake and exhaust. It feels SO much quicker now and pulled 5 cars on a vehicle I used to be even with.

It’s extremely fun. Now with the pulley it’s way faster than I expected. Everyone says it’s like driving a go-kart and honestly that is the best way to describe it.
