This build is going to be so nice. AMD do you have any pics of the probe? Particularly the engine bay… I’m highly interested in that project as I never saw it in person

Theres a whole thread called “I miss this”

Has a TON of sick pics of it!

Yea I took them so they are fucking sweet pictures

Finding it now

You’ve had pretty good luck with the Southbend’s clutches right? I’m tempted to invest in one for my 240 but I don’t know anyone except yourself who has used them… do they have anything more capable of holding torque than what’s listed on their site?

Also, we should Microsquirt and boost the YFZ when it dies next time. :vlad

Got my new clutch!! South Bend Clutch is probably the most awesome clutch company out there as far as customer satisfaction. I will try and make this story make as much sense as possible…

Last season I had South Bend’s OFE (Stage 3) clutch setup in my car. This setup was basically designed for a daily street driven occasional track car. It drove great and handled the power great for the most part. I do a bit more drag strip stuff then the clutch was really intended for plus my n2o setup creates quite a bit more torque then a normal stage 3 (K04 S4) and I had the clutch slip on me a few times.

I was in contact with Andy at South Bend last season when the clutch had slipped a few times and he said to send it in an we could work something out. I didn’t get to pulling the car apart until this winter since I am rebuilding the transmission as well. So I get it sent back to him and it turns out that everything was still in good shape and normal. Regardless I opted to upgrade to their new stage 5 race setup.

Long story short, I got a sick deal on my new clutch and he sent back my old clutch setup. To my surprise, when I opened up my old clutch I found that they threw in a brand new full ceramic clutch disk to keep as a backup to my stage 5.

Overall, I would recommend South Bend clutches to anyone/everyone!!

+1 for south bend

Jason at Z31perf has a deal with south bend, every Z owner swears by them

Damn near the only company that makes a quality clutch for our cars

Best aftermarket clutches I have ever driven

Haven’t heard anything about them with Honda’s. Although i guess go with what works and is proven… ie. Competition, Clutchmasters etc

Me and Nick were talking about it yesterday and he wasn’t sure if they even made many options for Honda’s. Plus Competition is proven to work well any way
