Swerve is right on the money. Only had time to go once last year but learned alot about my car…and myself. Definitely planning to come back out this season. Vid of my noobie run last season:

So, If I come out and am there till only noonish, Not an issue?
Have to work in the afternoon.
it does handle pretty well on the street…not like my old maxima did but pretty good…i am still debating whether the CVT would be good or bad…although i do have paddle shifter sport mode…
i do miss the Auto X i will tell you that
WNY almost always does a run/work/run/work schedule so as long as you work the same amount you run it shouldn’t be a problem.
Staying just till noon won’t get you many runs though since first car off is usually 10:30. Being the first WNY event of the season and at a new location I’m sure the first couple sets of runs will take some adjustments to get everything flowing perfectly smooth. Right now there are just 41 pre-registered though so it should move pretty quickly.
Hrmm… I think I’m going to change up my schedule for this so I can make these events. The Ralph Wilson location looks awesome. Any hints on course setup for it?
I wish I could change mine. Going to try to come to these, even if I have to leave at 1 or 2.
Jay, not 100% sure yet but I think we’re running heats here due to the way grid will be run (you’ll see when you’re there, paddock and grid will be 2 seperate lots, so heats just makes sense.
Mike, this site is the best one I can remember that’s been this close. Seneca Army depot I would still say is better, but it’s also 2 hours away. As for hints…there will be a bunch of turns and slaloms made of cones and you’ll have to drive through them fast
We are doing course setup on Saturday, dunno what time yet. You are more than welcome to come.
edit: minglor, yes you should still come…we may be able to work with you with the fact that you have to leave early…you will still likely lose a bit of seat time, but not much.
I’m trying to get Gary to co-drive the EP3 civic I have.
If I see him, I’ll be all over him to get his ass to go.
No worries.
As long as nothing comes up I’ll be there.

Let me know if you NEED some mounted all-seasons to run on, I’ll bring a pair for you to borrow.
Anyone have a helmet I can borrow?
I miss this badly, just for fun I may have to enter the caddy in one. Only because the jeeps aren’t really suited for it and the vette isn’t ready.
there are loaners provided.
Good times got in 7 runs will go to the ralph again.
Anyone have pics?
I believe Jane Quinn has posted a bunch on facebook…I’ll try to find them and post a link. She made mention that higher quality pics are available via email to her because facebook obviously shrinks them all.

There are 4 albums in total I believe.
Last time I went, club helmets were available but they had to keep running from car to car to keep the few they had in rotation. Thinking of investing in one since I plan to do more of these. Word to the wise… I could only run with the t-tops off cause the helmet wouldn’t fit. If you have limited headroom, prepare to scrunch.
For me it was a lot less about convenience and a lot more about wearing a helmet that was shared by 20+ people, all of which are sweating like crazy because it’s 90+ degrees out there on the pavement. The phrase “like wearing a bowling shoe on your head” has been said many times regarding loaner helmets except at least they spray the shoes before each use.
next event is:
this Sunday June 10th.
Unless the schedule changes we won’t be back there until August 12th.
