2 things i already know … blinky gauges arent good for tuning and exhaust leaks screw with the afr … but i have a wideband to back up mr blinky and the exhauslt leak will get taken care of tomorrow when i finaly decide to pull the exhaust again
so on with my rambeling about today:
got the eclipse running right finaly, but up till like 5 oclock i couldnt seam to get the lc1 WB02 to operate for myself
so i started the day doing some autometer blinky light tuning, knowing the computer was just gonna screw up the settings w/ each pass down the street till i managed to get the ecu up against the wall on the fuel map
this ecu has way more adjustment then i expected it to … after a you reset the ecu it needs +26 to run right at idle, and now its at -20 and still has to go lower
prolly did a 6 LIGHT pulls down the street … same thing each time
drove it lightly only reving to 2500, 1st 2nd and 3rd gears, a/f was crappy by the end of the street, pull into the neighbors drive … bump the settings a few clicks for each of the effected adjustments
drive it back extra light, driveway adjustments till she ran nice again and take it down the street again
got the wb02 working around like 730 i think … started learning how to work it, i was TOTALY confused at first but a call to innovate motorsports cleared up my confusion
hopefully i can log some pulls down the street and get the lo map adjusted to my satisfaction (gotta fix an exhaust leak first)… then after that its time to add teh boost !
ive also gotta recir the bov … just gotta make some small pieces for that and weld them to the intake pipe
but its nice hearing the turbo spoolin just that little bit to keep up with the engines airflow demand
i know the somewhat loud exhaust cant be that enjoyable for the neighbors tho … oh well … hope it pisses off the bitch next door considering she called the house late 3 nights ago accusing me of setting of bottle rockets
i though old people were supposed to be deaf
