work boots squeak on smooth floors

In for the answer, got a pair of shoes that I like, but they “click” with every step like there’s a rock stuck in em… happens everywhere except the grass/dirt/plush carpet, smooth commercial carpet they still click on!

check to make sure the sole is not loose from the rest of the shoe. I had a shoe like that, it came loose and it made a clicking sound.
