i love how everyone just gives up around this time of year… it seems that people aren’t motivated to work, i see more people on Ebay and QVC than i do on the intranet (working)…
granted i’m guilty myself… i did nothing but sit on teh interweb yesterday…
usually we are slow this time of year… how about where you all work???
Its hit or miss with us, some times its bursy, some ties it slow as hell. You can tell If I;m at work and get busy because if I;m dancing around the popcorn with some one and it all teh sudden stops its because we got slammed…

eh, I’ve got a big PHP project due by the end of the month… and I just ordered my new computer today for my SECOND workstation across the room (One workstation to handle sales and the front-office, one workstation to handle production). Usually this time of the year is slow for me, but busy for production because everyone has their “end of year budget” disappearing soon.
well, i work part time at a grocery store while still in college, so i don’t actually have a real job 
anyways, its not really busy that much, except right before holidays. we got slammed this past week before thanksgiving. it was crazy. but besides those days, i’m always lazy and don’t do much lol
well if those people want to surf ebay and become stagnate, i thank them
because while i keep learning and doing shit, im eventually gonna take their job, or move up
other people also notice the people that dont work and the people that do continue to work…
we r really busy w/ Clear Channel this time of year. alot of prep work for the Supercross series. i still have to take time away and surf the net to keep sane, no matter how busy we r. while my productivity hasnt dropped off, i have been guilty of frequenting ebay (xmas gifts) and am in the early stages of looking for a car (finally)
yeah… i have tons of ‘projects’ to take care of… just setup an multicast LAN for imaging, installing 160 new pc’s by christmas… i was asked to setup a sharepoint server, never did that before, so that’ll be fun…
fighting with backups and schema… it’s all fucked (that’s what happens when people that don’t know do shit)… upgrade the blackberry server and so on…
small projects to make the time pass… it’s just funny to walk around and see tons and tons of people out of the office or in the office and not giving a shit…
on the other hand, i haven’t seen so many ‘tourists’ in town… more like rural folk coming in to shop and whatnot… the streets are crazy, it’s a PITA…
Ya just depends sometimes with us… I will always have something to do, just its laid back here so…
My end of the job remains steady but my office picks up a bit of work during the cold months. They design highways/bridges and sanitary sewer systems. So during the cold months they design them, during the warm months they build them.
I’m rocking this time of year, Oct/Nov/Dec is when it all happens for my buying position. It’s over soon! I still manage a little pRon, however…
i’m semi busy right now but i gave up a long time ago. Operation Shutdown as i like to call it…

I have been doing a restoration of a house in Sewickley Heights since last March. I’m busy. I get paid a daily rate, so if I take off, I don’t get paid. Also, no paid holidays. :wtf: But, I am my own boss, except as long as the homeowners are happy with my work.
