well that’s a lot more expensive that doing the same upgrade for my car and each corner is individual … i would say shop around if that’ss what you want to do … price out buying it all individually
dude…like i said…i am getting brembo blanks…zimmerman blanks all my brake sensors and axxis pads…and i can upgrade to hawk pads for an extra $30…but all for $265…and everything is brand new in box
why bother. they work goo as is. its a pimp mobile not a racecar, drive it enjoy awhile and then after its pushing more than say 350HP(if that happens) then upgrade the brakes i wouldnt do it just to please the eye of these leghumpers.
You gotta get going faster than stock to spend that kinda money on stopping better than stock. As previously stated, a good set of SB lines and good pads will serve the purpose for a fraction of the cost. Unless of course you were planning on road racing/tracking the car where you might run into heat issues etc. etc.
i have axxis ultimates on my bimmer and I think I’m gonna switch to greenstuff. great pad, but really fucking dusty, and I’m gonna get some bling wheels that I don’t feel like cleaning all the time
Seems a little high priced. The rotors aren’t really going to improve your braking. The only things that will do that are increased rotor size, better pads, and more clamping force. The stainless lines help with pedal feel and clamping as they do not flex as much as rubber lines under hard braking. The pads help for obvious reasons.
Are you really driving your car hard enough to experience brake fade?
If you are, the package looks like it will help out… Although SS lines are a feeling mod, you dont really get any performance benefit to them (unless you want to talk about reliability, but I dont see many brake lines bursting on street cars).
Rotors can have a BIG impact on brake fade resistance, regardless of most of the garbage people will tell you on here. The key word being CAN. It all depends on the rotor. I would look for something that has better internal venting than stock, and something that has at least been heat treated or Cryo treated. I also am an advocate of slotted rotors.
I went to DBA’s clubspec rotors on my WRX along with Axxis Ultimate pads, motul fluid, and SS lines and it made a huge difference. I still could get brake fade, but I had about two times the resistance to it. Axxis Ults are the best all around pad for the money, HANDS DOWN. The only downside is they are very dusty.
NEVER BUY EBC GREENS. They are not meant for any type of highway speed stops and you WILL overheat and warp your rotors. They are JUNK.
I would start out with just pads, or pads and good rotors, you will be very surprised at the difference.
You will not notice any difference with the fluid and only a slight difference in pedal feel with the SS lines.
ehhh… not a bad deal. I’d try tirerack though… usually good deals on brembos/hawks
someone here sells them i Know, just forgot his user name (he’s down in Fl) I was going to order some stuff from him a while back but never got around to it(this was on UBRF BTW). He beat tireracks prices
