Would this have trouble clearing the bumper and/or rebar.
I already know the rebar has to be cut and the bumper bottom opening
needs to be trimmed.
But the fact that it sticks out that much, will it clear?
I have been trying to find overhead pics of FMIC setups but haven’t been
really successful…
with it that far out your bumper is going to need to be totally chopped up like a good 1.5" out man
the back of my cooler is basically right at that bolt, where as yours is like 1.5" out from it

I don’t mind cutting the inside of the bumper opening area. That I was
going to have to do anyways.
But it’s more rather will the bumper fit right over (even without rebar)…
Here’s the side view…

see if you can slide the bumper over and bolt it up. you might just make it

Yea, that’s my plan. I’m more concerned about the bumper fitting before
the IC piping gets worked on. The rebar I’m not oncerned about…
My dad’s a machinist and can help make it fit somehow if need be

yea just make sure everything fits before you get the piping made. obviously. what size piping are you going with? and what ic is that anyway?

3" OD (2.75" id) all the way…I already know others would tell me to go
lower but meh…
IC is an ATI Procharger unit
rebar wont fit with it that far out, there is tons of room in the stock bumper, to let the ic sit out far like that, you just need to angle it at the bottom.
fit, with no hope in hell of running a rebar

Thanks that helps a little…
Now can someone post a pic of the inside of their bumper with teh IC
already in? I want to know basically where the bottom flap is in the
bumper’s opening.

Well I just realized…
The flap that botls up to the little lip on the frame is about 6.5" from the
edge of the flap to the front opening.
The bracket my dad made that sits under my i/c is about 6.25"…
So it seems I will need to move the I/C back another 1" to 2" and/or
tilt it more of an angle forward a few degrees.
Here is the setup I’m using temporarily…
I have the Megan 22’’ x 11.75’’ and with how its sitting I had to cut out 3/4 of the bumper atleast… there is only about 2’’ left max and it sits right up behind the re-bar perfect… I didnt have to trim/cut it or touch it in anyway.
How big is your intercooler? Why must you mount it on an angle? will it fit straight up/down? Are you going to have to trim the bumper to get @ the grommets?

Overall dimension (tip to tip): 28.5" x 13" x 3"
And here’s why it’s gotta be at an angle

holy crap, you should look into getting an upgraded rad if you havnt, that thick intercooler is gona block tons of air flow once the bumper is on.
My rad works fine…
I’d swap the IC… not very user friendly
top mount full size 740 turbo volvo 8) 6’’ Hot Pipe & 6’’ Cold Pipe…

I don’t plan to be rockin that rad next summer…i just need it for a couple
months to get by…
And with the cold weather already upon us, it’s not a big deal.
I already have dual-altima fans.
