have you gone to the track yet? if so which one?? I will be going to Nelsons Ledges and Beaver Run as much as i can afford once i get my car finished come next spring so get ready to get that DSM out there!

i plan on gettin into road racing a good bit next year.i’m investing some loot into the suspension this year after a couple more engine mods.i def. want to go to beaver run a couple times then depending on how it does i might go to some other courses
Just remember to check your insurance clauses before you run. Usually if you wreck it on the track now days they will NOT cover your car.
I really would like to get some folks together for some cart racing, it would be a lot of fun and hell of a lot cheaper.
Has anyone gone to Beaver Run (other than the kart track)?
my insurance doesn’t cover it, but i know some ways around it… suspension and good brakes too!!! all my buddies cars will be ready to go for road racing next year so it should be a fun time… So far in the line up will be a A4 Quattro 1.8T, M Coupe, 944 Turbo S, Eclipse GS-T, and a Older M3 and then my measly Jetta.
should be a blast though, its about 170 or so for a day at the track. buts its the best time IMO almost better then sex

I might be intersted in going once or twice myself, I really need to check my insurance, since if I dump my Z off the track for something stupid I would need to be able to recover enough to get me another ride.

yea i dont think mine covers either…but it doesnt really matter anyways cause they will NEVER give me what i have in the car…so even if i do wreck or anything i will fix it out of my pocket anyways
id really like to try beaver run… i never been there before. I was always just a drag racer and thought auto-x was gay… I dont know how my car would do at the track with such a big turbo on it though. We should have a Pittspeed auto-x meet ??

I’ll probably try it a few times but I doubt I’ll get super cocky and try to beat any records, but it’ll be fun none the less.

i dunno, i didn’t go off the track when I was there, a DSM and a TA did though. no wrecks or anything either. you do have to watch yourself though cause their was a few times i was almost sideways slipping on mud when a dumbass DSM driver came back on when he should have stayed off. everyone was really cool to, giving me pointer. U also go out with an instructor a few times till you get signed off to go by yourself

you might have a problem getting that bad boy to spool while coming out of a sharp bend… but on the straight aways you would be king

A friend of mine (chris) goes there often, he is an instructor there, and is a certifed SCCA driver…i’ve been a few times with him but haven’t gone on the track yet…hopefully before bad weather hits.
The owner is cool as hell…I’m sure you have heard of Extrude Hone…well he is Mr. Extrude Hone.
He raced a sick modifed SVT on the one lap of america.
He drives around in a stock s10 extreme, and chris told me that soemtimes he puts track tires on and goes on the track and his times rape everyone else.
We were there for the Integra Type R meet. and Mugen had their RSX there testing it to get ready for some circuit they were racing in…There were also a few other sick cars(spoon etc…), and their times were still a few secs off if what the owner can do in a S10 extreme.
