Not worth it to me, but to the right person I bet it is!
If you are buying it as an investment do you really think you will be able to beat inflation, and the interest you’d be getting in something safe like a CD?
Not to mention it is hard to store a car really well. Sitting isn’t good for cars.
If you are looking to spend an extra 10k you have lying around on a car, get something fun, and drive it. Something fun to beat on: 96-98 cobra, C5 Vette, s2000, e36 M3, or something that is slow with style and class: Triumph, MG, 240Z.
Hell my tax guy found a 64 vette conv., 327 4sp in the south for $10k. He brought it back and I was stunned. The car is beautiful and he drives it all the time, it’s super solid.
Yes i did paint them, the car was white thats why it has a grey interior.I painted it black. The factory stripes are alot of cash. And the guy i sold the car to still has it,lives right down the street form me.
Old cars are great investments, they gain value.Even though the market is up and down they still havnt lost alot of valve.About 10-15 years ago people were just about giving away mopars now you cant even get a pile of crap for under 8k.It just has to be the popular cars and in the 50s through the early 70s.Even then you must know which ones are worth hanging on to.
My monte gets 24 highway and thats amazing for a 305 with the quad on it.
ha, i get like 12 city.
I’ve gotten plenty worse then that. But I have a little more fun than a 305.
My dad’s 5.4 2v F-250 4x4 auto seems to go 9-11 around town, with some towing.
If you love it then its worth it plain and simple. My mom had an SS when i was younger so i have always loved them.
only problem I see with the montes is the lack of a 350 and the lack of a manual trans
All in all that car is worth 9,500 to someone maybe more on autotrader, I have had 3 calls on mine and thats what I have it on autotrader for. Pay 49 dollars get 18 pics and its for sale untill it sells, did the same with my Gn was asking 40,000 just because I wanted to see if there was anyone willing to pay that much for it. Six months on autotrader and that car sold. (Keep in mind my gn was 30k miles, and 1 of 50 ever built with a factory aluminum hood)
