Here is my problem
hopefully you guys can fix it
mods//admins:

You made it so people HAVE to log in to view son’s forum???

you guys might want to FIX the forum first,
it takes me sometimes 20x trys with the correct login name & password to log onto my account on this forum.

Half the time , it will just keep LOOPING me back to the log in screen right after it says , thank you for your password, re-directing you.

So now I cant even view pages until I spend 10 minutes trying to log in

and its silly that People cant post under the front desk
whats the post of having that sub-forum if people cant post there
the posts just end up in car chat

its cool you guys are trying to get more members, but make sure things work properly before applying them

I get the same problem, but not on the same computers… some computers work, some I can’t even log in at all… just keeps redirecting back to the login screen!

Yoo i have that same problem, whats up with that.

To solve it i just checkmark the “remember me” box and log out at the end of the session.

edit: pretty sure its just a security setting.

Um, I have to log in every time I open the site at work, and I’ve never had a problem with it… And I never have to log in at home because it just remembers me… I think you guys need to lose less at internet.

You have got to be shitting me :ugh:

If you have any ounce of experience with computers, you will realize you won’t have to keep typing in a password all the time.

Allow me to demonstrate (demonstrated with FireFox 3 but can be done with IE as well)

Step 1) Check the “Remember Me?” check box
Step 2) Tell FireFox to remember your password
Step 3) Did you have trouble with the above two steps? If yes, then you’ve failed at computers. K.Thx.Bye.
Step 4) ???
Step 5) Profit

Hey Gonad, how do you like FF3? I haven’t upgraded yet, mostly because I’m lazy… Any major improvements?

Using it since it came out. Hasn’t spazzed out on me yet :dunno:

Some of the older 2.0 addons bitched about wrong version (security issue I think) but I got around it through the about:config

I stopped using IE for quite a while now (I was all PRO IE and ANTI FF for quite a while :o )

what I did is I saved it to my favourites so whenever I go on the forum its already logged in…

I always click on forums, then login.

The main page logon function isn’t that great…

i have no problem with loggin to view the forums, but whats the point of this. By making everyone that isnt a member or registered user, have to log in just to view a forum, wouldn’t that turn visitors away from viewing our classifieds?

We’ve come a long way and established ourselves as one of the, if not the premiere 240sx car club in Ontario.

We have new users registering everyday, and more and more are become supporting members.

And if people are signing up on this forum JUST to buy and sell stuff, then clearly this club isn’t for them and we have no need for them.

^^I keep Google for my homepage, but my hotlink bar at the top has nothing but forums, here, FA, Neo, etc, etc… lol
