they already have things that take full x-rays of people i would think those would see anything inside people… i always get picked to go through those when i fly on my own. dont know why a 21 year old kid looks suspicious must think im trying to sneak drugs on the plane

I have said it once and over again. I don’t mind the general metal detectors as its a simple protection like locking your doors at night. Some general person trying to break in may be stopped but someone determined it obviously wont. Since 9/11, defense spending has been higher than ever and now that all these private companies and contractors are funded so much by government contracts, they will never just take them our or stop the wars as every politician is connected to some business and getting kickbacks.
Fear causes people to freak out and the more they think there is an actual threat at every corner of their lives, the more open they will be to government spending to provide a false sense of security for them.
I vote all that BS get taken away until the TSA actually proves that they provide a purpose but it seems the facts are supporting that the TSA provides no value except to be a show that people are more secure.

Well, I get hassled sometimes. I’m diabetic and wear an insulin pump which has a tube that connects to my body to an infusion set. I’ve had them tug and pull at it before, now I just disconnect it and put it in the tray thing. Usually not an issue, but sometime you get a cocksucker who’s got to be a dick about it and I got to go through a bunch of shit.

Speaking of defense spending, 9-11, etc: remember Rumsfeld on 9-10-2001? No, of course not because there was the biggest distraction ever the next day. He announced that there was 2.3 trillion dollars of defense contractor money was “missing”. Huh, weird that everyone seemed to forget about it.
