Cliffs: Purdue freshman leaves a frat party, finds his way into a high voltage utility room that’s supposed to be locked, falls on a transformer, dies instantly. Body not found for a month.
I don’t think it was electrocution. The article didn’t specify. He may have just passed out on something and died from alcohol poisoning. They said the room was checked, just not thoroughly. If he was electrocuted you would think the burning flesh smell would have tipped them off when they opened the door to the room.
Right. Maybe I don’t know enough about building/electrician stuff, but I wouldn’t think that the transformer coils would be exposed. Of course I would also expect that door to be locked…

yeah, usually just cooling fins and a grounded enclosure. it would be pretty warm for sure.
this is why you should start drinking in high school, you go to college and drink your face off and die. seriously. or just not drink at all.
i really hate it when people suck at drinking

:word: My parents actually encouraged me to drink a little in high school so that I didn’t die pissing on a transformer the first time I got drunk in college. Well, at least so I had a clue anyways.

does it have much of a smell?

Probably just like any other burning flesh (beef, pork, etc) and I would think his hair would probably be smoldering too. Burning hair smells awful.
