The new GM frame came in today, i need some advice on how to prep it for paint. What can i use to strip all the wax off of it and clean it up nice? Pewter recommended kerosene, is there anything else i need to get?
lacquer thinner or wax/grease remover
Kerosene & a stiff-bristled brush is what I used when I did my truck. It worked great.

Hubby used to use kerosene on his trucks! But on the paint…to clean it… I never knew this was common, I just thought he was crazy!!!

that pile of parts is Not quite an 08 zo6 but looks like you got enough cash to put her back together, good luck.
There are alot of parts that are not pictured. My comment about the Z06 was meaning that the insurance policy i have on it would have payed out that much if they totalled it. so far i’m about $22k into it with another suppliment from the insurance company next week.
upgrades include new goodmark cowl hood, custom comp cam, comp push rods, 918 springs, comp ti retainers, crane double timing chain set, ported ls6 oil pump, brand new m122h supercharger, hotchkis sway bars, edelbrock shocks. thats all i can think of at the moment.
