Be sure the car was dynotuned. 2.0 heads on a 2.5 block 100% requires a tune, and NOT an open source/off the shelf one. A friend had machined heads on his hybrid swap and had detonation that wasn’t able to be tuned out. There are a few different shops that do machining, some are better than others.
I worry about a car that has thousands worth of motor work and someone wants to dump due to a Tranny issue. I’m guessing there are probably more issues and they just want out.

A friend of mine that is big into subaru’s has an identical car besides a hybrid motor…he has a newer STi turbo swapped in and some other bits, said he had to send his trans out and had it straight-cut and built because 300+hp on the stock WRX trans is known to pop them.
If anyone has any serious consideration about buying this car, pm me first.
