wow…that is one ugly 350.

lol I didn’t want to say it

Ugly, But for 23k a new hood and removal of decals can solve that…Maybe a new kit too lol

The fugly hood is there to cover the supercharger.

I know that lol, But there has to be something more tasteful out there…

The starting bid was $23,900 and they got ZERO bids I bet the reserve was over $35,000 . A guy in Edmonton had a 350Z with a Stillen SC last year i think he ran low 14sec high 13sec passes. So about $40,000CAD for an ugly car that runs high 13s on a good day is a bit of a rip off IMO.

Gord, you are not talking about this car are you?

I think the car looks really good, and I am sure that car can easly do low 13’s. I think his name is Craig, can’t remember now, really bad with names. I am sure we will see him at a few meets.

The looks are subjective but not my stye the performance is not great for a car in that price range IMO. For that kind of money you could do better.

For $30,000ish you could have this. Its not my style either but a better value and more potential for the money.

Or this one is more MY style for $27,000 fully built motor Jim Wolf TT kit. The Stillen car is OK but for the money you can get better looks and better performance IMO.

I am talking about the Stillen car in the original post. I talked a bit with Craig he seemed to be a really good guy he had a very nice too. His car was running low 14s high 13s I think he said he had a Stillen stage II kit. The Stillen kit would be nice for the street but has limited potential for the track.

^ Ya thats me, Craig, My car last year ran low 14’s however while tearing it apart this winter found some areas to improve the preformace. It ran low 14’s with a filter that looked like it was dipped in concrete, and a maf that was not much better. I won’t know what it will run on stage two as this winter i have undertaken some new changes, Stage three, and Stillen High flow Cats, Cats on paper are supposed to add 14 hp without the intake and Exhaust. i have the intake and dual exhaust so with the stage three stillen sheets say the stock 287 should end up a 440 to the wheels. I’ll be happy if i see 380-400 at the wheels. I agree with all above for the money the turbo kit obviously is more tunable to produce more power for the drag strip. The advantage to SC is the instant power with no lag, and it’s maintinance free. So for Auto cross I’ll stick with the SC. Cost i think they are both similar, installed of course, so it all depends on what you want to get out of it. IMHO let the debate continue

Cheers

I hope you get the power your looking for Craig, the JWT 530bb kit also has full boost by 2400rpm so not much lag and has potential for 500+whp but bang for the buck and if your shooting for the 400whp range the Stillen SC is good. I hope to see you out at some meets this year we should have lots of forced induction VQ35s this year:17:
