WTBorrow: Honda obd1 ECU ASAP

asap, my car sucks.

pm me if you have one

i might have a p07 kicking around, ill check and let you know

i have one. throw me like 10 bucks. off my del sol s

ight cool, whatever works

i think 92civicdx may be stopping by with a p75 (which is what i need if it is the cause of the problem)

lol wtf is going on with it now?

wont turn over, fuel pump wont prime. fail

oh jesus lol, Idk why your having such bad luck with that car. When I owned it all it needed were tires. Brett must have stolen everything good off of it lol.

that’s really what it seems
im just going to fix the rust paint it and sell it, alls it needs is brakes

lol your nuts, I have some nice brakes i might sell

check ur main relay

it’s not that

i’m thinking it’s the clutch pedal switch, because the accesories will turn on, everything works but it wont crank

the fuel pump goes on now, idk why but i couldnt hear it before lol

tomorow im going to try and jump the switch for the clutch and see if it starts

lol dumb ass open up ur ears haha

what ecu? beast has an obd1 gsr ecu laying around

i needed a p75, but i found that it wasnt the problem

im going to try and figure more things out when i wake up

… will it start if you “hot wire” … or if you “bump” it …

Eric, if your ECU wasn’t the problem. Check your wiring to the starter (especially the little wire for the pickup). If all that is good, sounds like your starter is dead.’

I’m confused though…yesterday you said the fuel pump wasn’t priming?

It could also be your dizzy … this is why we need to find out if it will start with one of the 2 ways I asked

I really couldn’t hear it, every other car i’ve worked on including other hondas/tegs have atleast been semi loud, i could barely hear mine

ill check the starter im going out in a little bit, im also going to try and jump it to see if the batterys dead. :picard: if that’s the problem

I wouldn’t imagine it’s the dizzy. He told me the car won’t crank at all and he doesn’t even hear the pickup solenoid clicking or anything. I had him check his main large fuses under the hood. He also said the fuel pump wasn’t priming and that’s what led me to believe it was his ecu. If it’s the main relay, the fuel pump won’t prime, but the starter will still try to turn. That clutch switch is still a good possibility for sure though, that would be what I would check next. When I’ve had starters die in the past, I usually hear them dying like 20 starts before they actually die out. However, if that pickup wire or the pickup is fucked, it won’t allow any power to the starter itself, therefore it would never turn. If you probe the fat power wire running to the starter, you will see that there is battery voltage running to that at all times (hell, it’s actually wired straight to the battery post). But the pickup solenoid is what allows the circuit to be completely and lets the starter actually draw power (complete the circuit).

I think you need someone that knows what try are doing to come and look at it …
