I need one that goes over the res. , I broke a bleeder screw and need to borrow one. Please let me know what you have, I will give a deposit and return as soon as I am done. I believe they make them, I could be wrong. I have seen the ones that go on the bleeder screw, but dont they make ones that suck from the res.? Correct me if I am wrong.
they make ones that go on the res, but you still have to open and close the caliper I thought.
you cant suck from the res… how would that ensure there is no pressure from the caliper…
the ones that go on the res pressurize the res to force the fluid down and allow you to do a 1 man bleeder when you open the screw it forces fluid out and you can close the bleeder when you are ready… dont need anybody to pump
↑ Makes sense, I guess I will try getting the bleeder screw out then.
you need to be able to open both ends of the system to bleed it out. If you were to suck from the resivior it wouldnt do any thing, and if you opened the bleeder it would suck air into the bleeder and fill the line with air. Buy a wheel cylinder/caliper they are cheap.
ideally you could remove the caliper and turn it so the fitting is at the top position and bleed it at the line, but it doesnt work very well.
I wont try getting it out, I will just get the dam cylinder, hopefully that will save me the headache.
Yeah you can get a caliper for dirt cheap if you can’t get the bleeder out.
Its the rear wheel cylinder, not the caliper, even cheaper.
Ah gotcha. Even better then. Wheel cylinders are cheap too.
