WTH: IT Hardware specialist

www.hodgsonruss.com is the company.

We need someone who is experienced with configuring Laptops, setting up for conferences, burning DVDs and CDs. Setting up and trouble shooting remote VPN connections.

Must be super organized and detail oriented.

There may be some local travel during the day. (Going to an attorney’s house to set up their VPN connection and trouble shooting. Sometimes assisting an attorney in a presentation. And those types of things.)

You will also deploy new PCs, day to day hardware replacement, special projects etc. Responsible for maintaining and distributing the loaner laptops.

We are looking for a jack of all trades type of personality. We are a law firm of 200 + attorneys and 300 staff. This is a real job, with real benefits, 401K etc. I have been here 5 years and still having a blast.

Send your resumes to me ------ juicedss @ gmail.com (Take out the spaces)

I am not responsible for the hiring, I do not know the salary but it will be decent. All I can do is pass on your resume.

Post your questions and I will do my best to answer. The person in the position now is leaving December 1st. We are located downtown Buffalo.

jam?

lol.

bump.

hmm i do this stuff now, i might be interested, simple work to say the least.

I’ve also been doing this for 3+ years, but a lot more hardcore than what this sounds  I work with 100’s of companies, rather than just one. Might be a nice change!

I am interested. I’ll get you my resume tonight.

When you send your resume, let me know it’s you. lol

“Hey, here is a resume from Clean Baldy”…not gonna fly…lol

This is totally me, only i’m way underpaid.

I do this stuff every day at my job

I’ll shoot you my resume…

Ok, got your resume. As soon as they start taking them, yours gets there first.

They announced him leaving about 10 minutes before my original post so they haven’t geared up for hiring yet.

sounds like a fun easy job… if i was only through college… i would apply

Yep, full time. 8:30 - 5 or so. Core hours are 8:00 - 6:00 M-F.

Resume sent, as well as a PM. I am very interested in this position.

lol i forgot how to do a resume, since i havnt had a new job in over 7 years.

too funny.

Butch, any networking involved there they need help with also?

Currently the network side is full. For this position we really need someone to come and organize things, streamline some of the processes etc. Someone with a good head on their shoulders.

Our department is about 16 people and growing fast. We have 2 offices in NYC, Boca, Palm Beach, Johnstown, Albany and Toronto.

So far, 2 resumes, both in the bosses hands…

awesome, sounds like a great place to work.

i might have to type up a resume for shits and giggles.

dunno if they pay would be what im making now tho.

any “custodial arts” positions open?

Since other computer guys already jumped on this… lol

for god sakes, i bet a janitor in an attorney offfice doesn’t do too badly.

i’m sure they do about the same as any other place… just less shit to clean up

Any server work? What software are you running there? Linux? Windows? Printers involved too? Do you have a ballpark idea of what the salary is?

We have a network team to do those things. I do not have a ballpark on the salary. We run XP, MSoft Office and a ton of other things.

If they end up posting the company job description, I will post it. We need someone organized and presentable as you will be working with attorneys and on occasion the clients may be present.

The attorneys travel and will need laptops. They do presentations so you will have to assist in that as far as setting them up. They connect from home so you will be involved in making that work. DVD and CD burning will need to be done.

The hiring process around here is slow so everyone needs to give this some time. It is so slow that they are getting a temp in here on Monday to fill in the gap while we go through the process of hiring. Corporate America sucks so be patient…

Thanks in advance

BTW, Fuzzy used to be my intern at my current job
