WTH: Warehouse staff

This is a position with plenty of opportunity to grow with a large corporation. Our successful distribution center is looking for an individual who is motivated and eager to learn about our company and the daily operations of the warehouse environment.

A warehouse employee at REXEL must:
Have the ability write and read routine reports and picking tickets.
Have strong communication skills.
Possess good mathematical skills.
Have an excellent attendance record.
Work overtime if needed.

2 year degree or degree in progress is preferred.

I am willing to provide this individual with a career path that will lead to an inside sales position within two to three years. Our inside sales group is paid above the industry standard and benefits from profit sharing, 401k, and health insurance.

I started in the warehouse less than two years ago. Since that point I have been a counter salesman, Inside sales, and led an inventory project involving several members of the staff and several months of my time. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to get in to a company on the ground floor and is willing to work hard and prove themselves to earn their future position.

Starting pay is at $10/hr PM me if you would like more details or to get information on how to apply.

Mike

location?

 thanks to the couple of people that have contacted me already. I forgot to mention that we are looking to fill this position ASAP. The company does drug test, and they do a outsourced background check. The field is Electrical Distribution and we are a 15 Billion+ in sales per year company so there is a lot of room to move into a commissioned sales position.

You miss working with me Mikey? lol Honestly though you think I would do good here?

I am the warehouse mng at rootneal, I would love to work for rexel, to bad the pay is so low.

had i known this 6 months ago, I would have had you come in and interview for the warehouse manager position that we had open!! It is filled now, but that job has decent pay, and tons of room to move into operations management.

a degree is needed to work in a warehouse?

now thats funny.

of course ive only worked at BAX global so this may be different.

thats what im thinking, i make alot more then that as a restaurant manager:wtf:

A degree is not required, but we are not looking for a warehouse lifer. We are looking for someone that has a head on their shoulder that can start there to get a feel for the industry and the products. That person will then be moved into a sales position at the parts counter and will continue training while getting a raise and starting to collect commission checks. They will then be moved into my position and again get a raise and much larger commission checks. If they are successful as an inside sales rep, there is the opportunity to move to management, Outside Sales (As a sales company, there is a ton of $$ in outside sales), or even a product specialist/Engineer position. This is a Global 15B / year in sales company that is the leader in it’s market. We have no shortage of job opportunities for those that are hard working and wish to be very successful.

Unfortunately you start on the bottom, and move up. If you talk to 90% of the people in my office, they all came from the same place. The warehouse. There is a learning curve on products application and theory of electricity before you can just jump head first into sales, and the time in the warehouse is used to cram a lot of that down your throat. so is the time spent at the counter.

Can you expect to work in the warehouse for 2 months then go to sales? No. I would say expect to be back there at least 10-12 months unless someone dies (which well, that may happen with some of the old asses around here).

hahah at the old asses comments

by that I mean guys that have been here around 40 years and are still here between the dialysis appts. visits to the hospital, etc… They just wont retire! We have one guys who has been the warehouse manager, the operations manager, an Allen Bradley Product specialist, and outside salesman, a counter salesman, and now he is content at his desk as an inside sales rep.
